normal is said to be a new way of life in the midst of a corona virus pandemic whose
recovery rate is increasing.
Some regions have made rules regarding the implementation of new normal while
continuing to prevent COVID-19. The public is expected to follow these rules by
always implementing health protocols.

So as not to be confused, here are some new facts that were normal during the
COVID-19 pandemic:

1. What do you mean new normal?

New normal is the step to accelerate the handling of COVID-19 in the health, social,
and economic fields. The new normal scenario is carried out by considering the
readiness of the region and the results of epidemiological research in the relevant
region.

word in English has become a noun, so it becomes New Normal. The linguistic body

2. New normal vs corona

disappear from the face of the earth in a long time. Therefore, the term side by side is
more appropriate to use than to make peace with the corona virus.

together can. But if it's peaceful, that's just the term, but maybe from a virological
perspective, the term side by side is more practicable," said LBM Head Eijkman Prof.

Humans have a history and experience of living side by side with microbes such as
influenza viruses, HIV, and dengue fever. According to Prof. Amin, what needs to be
done is to recognize the virus to prevent transmission.
3. Life with new normal
President Jokowi has asked all his staff to study field conditions to prepare a new
normal order in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. At present there are already 4
provinces and 25 regencies / cities that are preparing for new normal.

"I ask the protocol to adapt to this new normal order that has been prepared by the
Ministry of Health to be disseminated massively to the public," Jokowi said.

The new normal implementation will coincide with the disciplining of health
protocols guarded by the National Police and the TNI. Furthermore, the new normal
order will be expanded if considered effective.

4. New normal protocol

The WHO world health organization has prepared guidelines for the transition to new
normal during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this protocol, the state must prove capable
of controlling COVID-19 transmission before implementing new normal.

This control must also be carried out in places that have high vulnerability such as
nursing homes, mental health facilities, and areas with many residents. Preventive
control measures must also be implemented in the workplace.

"Preventive measures at work have begun to be established such as physical distance,

hand washing facilities and respiratory ethics," WHO Regional Director for Europe
Henri P Kluge was quoted as saying on the official website of the world health
agency.

5. New normal in Surabaya and Semarang

Semarang plans to implement the new normal after limiting community activities
(PKM) on June 7, 2020. One who has planned to implement the new normal is the
Office of Education with a new school entrance pattern.

"For example the Department of Education, I ask the school principals and
foundations to have input. For example, in July grade 5 and 6 have been allowed to
enter the health SOP. Classes 1 to 4 may be entered twice a week, so classes are loose,
there is a distance or maybe use a bulkhead , "said Semarang Mayor Hendrar Prihadi.

As for Surabaya, it still chooses to focus on handling COVID-19 for its citizens. The
application of new normal is considered after conditions become better. Later,
Surabaya Mayor Tri Rismaharini was disappointed that the BNPB-assisted PCR car,
which was originally for the examination of its citizens, was diverted to other regions.

6. New normal in Jakarta and West Java

Initially, the Province of West Java planned to implement the new normal on June 1,
2020. However, there was a policy to extend the implementation of the Large-Scale
Social Restrictions or PSBB. The extension of the PSBB did not necessarily cancel
the initial implementation of the new normal.

"It is not invalid, if West Java on June 1 as a new launching is normal. More precisely
the start of the New Habit Adaptation culture (AKB)," said Spokesperson for the Task
Force for the Acceleration of Countermeasures (GTPP) COVID-19 Berli Hamdani.

DKI Jakarta has been mentioned several times as a province that is most ready to
implement a new normal life order. Even so, Jakarta chose to extend the PSBB to 4
June 2020 and consider the latest case data before applying new normal.
