DISCUSSION

Prof. Ying’s research is interdisciplinary in nature, with a theme in the
synthesis of advanced nanostructured materials for biomaterial and catalytic
applications. Her laboratory has been responsible for several novel wet-
chemical and physical vapor synthesis approaches that create
nanocomposites, nanoporous materials and nanodevices with unique size-
dependent characteristics. These new systems are designed for applications
ranging from biosensors and diagnostics, nanomedicine and targeted delivery
of drugs, cell culture substrates and biomaterials, in vitro toxicology and drug
screening, pharmaceuticals and chemicals synthesis, to battery and fuel cells.
Prof. Ying has authored over 350 articles with more than 24,040 citations (h
index: 72). She has presented over 470 invited lectures at international
conferences, and 120 invited seminars at universities and institutions.

Prof. Ying was elected as the Global Young Leader of the World Economic
Forum, & member of the German National Academy of Sciences,
Leopoldina. He was named error one according to AIChE's "Hundred
Modern Era Engineers" at his Centennial Celebration. He was selected by
The Muslim 500 in 2012, 2013 & 2014 as one of the 500 most influential
Muslims in the world. She was inducted into the Singapore Women's Hall of
Fame in 2014. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Nano Today, which has an impact
factor of 18,432.

Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1992, as
the youngest Full Professor at the age of 35 in 2001.
Ying is currently the Executive Director according to the Institute of
Biotechnology & Nanotechnology (IBN), Singapore. IBN is a
multidisciplinary forum established by Prof. Ying in March 2003 to advance
the boundaries of engineering, science and medicine.
Ying has more than 180 primary patents granted or suspended, 32 of
which have been licensed to multinationals and startups. He was also selected
as a student of the Islamic World Academy of Sciences in 2017. Related to
the rapid test of Covid-19 quickly created, Prof. Ying hopes to be approved
at one month. This test looks for viral genetic material in the patient's
secretions. This sample is then inserted into a portable device that will put the
output at approximately 5 to 10 minutes, using a very fast amplification
method that they call Fast.
"We've done some initial clinical validation on hospital beds using real
patient samples, finding the test to be very sensitive and thorough," Prof Ying
said. Once approved, the technology can be used to create a useful kit for sick
shelters. So that it can be adjusted to be used in general practitioner clinics.
He and his team are among the researchers on all global races to fight
the Covid-19 pandemic. The challenge, prof Ying termed, is to deploy rapid
and careful diagnostics that can be done without the use of expensive
machines. Prof Ying said he and his team of scientists had been working
tirelessly for about six weeks to conduct a quick test. He hopes his quick tests
can be useful for the medical energy of Singapore or other countries.

3.1 Conclusion
Prof. Dr.Jackie Y.Ying was a professor in the Department of Chemical
Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1992.
He works at the Institute of Biotechnology and Nanotechnology, Singapore
and has academic disciplines, namely natural sciences, mathematics and
statistics in the field of physical sciences. Prof.Dr.Jackie Y.Ying has many
awards where his latest discovery is to create a rapid test tool for the Covid-
19 coronavirus. This tool is even claimed to be able to provide the results of
the examination in just 5 minutes.
3.2 Advice
The paper we compiled hopefully can help us understand more about
Biography About Prof. Jackie Ying. Please inform all if in our paper there
are still many errors in both language and understanding. There is nothing
perfect that man can create.
