    used in the field of refrigeration and
    air conditioning

    Copper Tube Types


    Copper Tube comes in different types.
    There are three major types of the tubes.
    They are the L, K, M and DWV types.
    Type L
    has a medium wall thickness and is the most widely used

    Type M
    is the thinnest of all. It can be purchased in rigid or
    flexible low cost forms. It is not used for cooling

    Type k
    Large thickness tubes for use in high pressure
    refrigeration circuits

    Aluminum pipe
    It is used in the manufacture of evaporators
    because it does not interact with water
    iron pipe
    They are of different diameters and are
    used in refrigeration units that operate
    with ammonia
