Relatively recently, the hot debate of whether censorship plays pivotal roles in the existence of
entertainment productions has always grabbed much interest from the public. From my
perspective, whilst the authenticity of productions lends validity to some extent, people ought to
takes some rationales why censorship is necessary to entertainment productions into
consideration.

First and foremost, censorship plays an indispensable role when it comes to the cruciality of
censorship in maintaining the entertaining industry. It is a truism that certain genres of films aim
to different audiences, so that in order to prevent inappropriate viewers from numerous contents
such as violence, drugs, sexuality, etc, level-based censorship is provided. Children, for instance,
may suffer from mental disorder after watching a horrendous film without parental guidance. In
addition to protecting the legitimate interests of audiences, thanks to being under strict scrutiny
of authorities, we can ensure flawless contents broadcasted towards the worldwide market
without any cultural misunderstandings – not to mention the fact that confusing works may
trigger wrongful affirmations about a nation’s political status.

On the other hand, as there exists inseperable nexuses among every single details as a whole,
proposing alternative options to censored parts can wholly affect the influence of the elements on
the works. To cite a shining example, changing just a small snatch of conversation of a piece of
music of a emotion-provoking scenario might fail to send the initial messages the producers
wished to convey. Falling within the ambit of stringent measurements, filmakers will not have
the confidence to display the untouched aspects of life, which will results in the superficial,
mediocre or even over-commercializing and uninspiring films for audiences. Furthermore,
halting or completely banning the official release of entertainment productions, in particular
films and movies, may leave producers deep in debt without any revenue received from
publishing the project; thereby push producers on the verge of bankruptcy, and of course,
unemployment.

In recapitulation, albeit to the necessity of censorship to avert unsuitable juvenile behaviors after
having exposed to such unpleasant contents, these justifications impede the artists to liberally
express their ideas, which is of utmost importance in the field of art. Hence, reconsidering the
censoring processes also plays an integral role to unlock limitless creativity of producers – the
ones who brings us visually satisfactory wonders.
