4. What I learned
- After the discussion. These are the things that I learned and should regularly follow daily.
• I learned different kinds of Foodborne illnesses, Contamination, and their effect on us humans.
• I learned that we also get viruses, diseases, bacteria, or parasites from the food that we ingest. If we didn’t properly prepared
our food, instead of feeling relieve after we eat, we might feel sick and can cause serious problems like food poisoning,
infections, etc.
• I learned that being clean is an advantage for everyone, it can help us improve our health.
• I learned what to avoid when I'm inside the kitchen and how to prepare the food, and how to cook it properly.
• In our handouts it also stated there how to properly wash your hands. Well, I thought before that as long as I rinse my hands
with water, and wash with soap it's clean already. Which I thought wrong because there are proper ways to do it.
• I also learned how to handle yourself if you got injured or personal illness, to avoid contaminating the food.
• Lastly, I learned that if you're sick you should not push yourself to do things, like cooking. You should take a rest even if just a
sore throat, cough, or fever.
5. What confuses me
- None, The lesson is easy to understand if you listen during the discussion. The handouts are self-explanatory, you just need
to be attentive and focus.

6. Definition
Cross-Contamination
• Where microorganisms like bacteria can travel from food that is about to eat, to another that can cause foodborne illness to
the individual who consumes it.
