Assessment:

A. Differentiate stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination. Provide five examples of each.

Stereotypes are oversimplified generalizations about groups of people. Stereotypes can be based on
race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation—almost any characteristic.

Example:

 Having an assumption of a pun someone’s hobbies.


 A person judging someone elds by their looks.
 Girls are better at reading and boys are better at math.

Prejudice refers to the beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and attitudes someone holds about a group. A

B. Look for a TV or newspaper advertisements which your think are promoting stereotypes,
prejudice, or discrimination. Picture, screenshot or print this advertisement on a bond paper. Write down
an essay explaining why you think so and how to make advertisement more inclusive.
