Telangana Gurukulam Under Graduate Common Entrance Test (TGUGCET) - 2022

PROSPECTUS
(please read the instructions carefully before applying online)

Filled in online applications are invited from the eligible candidates for admission into 1st year
B.A/BBA/B.Com/B.Sc Degree (English Medium) courses in Telangana Social Welfare Residential
Degree Colleges for Women (TSWRDCW) & Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Degree
Colleges (TTWRDC) for Men and Women for the Academic Year 2022-23.

I. Eligibility Criteria:
➢ Students who are appearing for second year intermediate or equivalent examination to be held in
May, 2022 are eligible to apply. However, they will be considered for admission only if they pass
in Intermediate examination with 40% marks.
➢ Students who have passed Intermediate or equivalent examination with 40% marks including
vocational courses held in March, 2021 are also eligible to apply.
➢ Students whose parents’ annual income is less than Rs. 1,50,000/- (in case of rural areas) Rs.
2,00,000/- (in case of urban areas) are eligible.

II. General Information:

A) Eligibility for excising options – College wise and course wise

1. For women colleges only women candidates should apply and for Men colleges only men
candidates should apply.
2. For seeking admission in special colleges listed in V(A) of Social Welfare and V(B) of Social
Welfare and Tribal Welfare Degree colleges, the candidates from all the districts of Telangana
can apply.
3. In case of General colleges listed in V(C) & V(D) the candidates should opt for the TSWRDCs &
TTWRDCs of their erstwhile districts only, where they studied from 4th class to 10th class.
4. The admissions into 1st Year Degree Course offered by Telangana Social Welfare / Tribal Welfare
Residential Degree Colleges will be allotted online on the basis of merit (marks secured) in
the TGUGCET-2022 following the options exercised by the candidates {Item V(A), V(B),
V(C)& V(D)} and as per the rule of reservations given in item-IV.
(The candidates are informed to be careful while exercising / choosing options of the colleges &
courses)
5. Applicants shall also fulfill other admission criteria stipulated by TSWREI & TTWREI Societies,
Hyderabad.
6. The societies reserve the right to change the rules of admissions as per the directions of the
universities, government and other regulatory bodies from time to time.
7. The Convener reserves the right to cancel the admission at any stage, if the particulars furnished
by the candidate are found incorrect or against the rules of admission.
8. The number of courses offered and the course combinations may vary depending on the number
of applications received for that particular course.

III. Examination pattern & Syllabus:

• Candidate Should choose one of the 5 test streams specified in table below as per the subjects
studied at Intermediate or its equivalent.
• Syllabus: Intermediate First &Second year syllabus of General English (30 marks) & 3 optional
subjects(@ 30 marks each subject) that the candidate pursued in Intermediate totaling to 120
Marks. (Duration of the test is 2 ½ hours)

 • Question Paper will be objective type (MCQs) and bilingual (English & Telugu) and answers must
be marked on OMR Sheets.

3. Engineering / life sciences (without bridge course) and Commerce and Management courses are
eligible for B. Com, BBA &B.A.

In the above categories, candidates shall be allotted against the category (Caste) seats (shown at item
No.IV) to which she belongs to –The candidates who participated in National/State level competitions
are eligible under Games & Sports quota.

If candidates are not available to fill the seats reserved for ST, SC-CC/BC-C, BC,Minorities, EBC/OC, they
shall be allotted to SC candidates (in case of TSWRDCs) as per their option.

VI. HOW TO APPLY:

1. The candidate is informed to go through the prospectus carefully to check his/her eligibility for
appearing the written test. The candidates should visit websites https://www.tswreis.ac.in/ &
http://tgtwgurukulam.telangana.gov.in. to access TGUGCET-2022 link

2. STEP-1: Registration and Payment : After confirming the eligibility criteria, the candidate should
proceed to ONLINE payment of fee of Rs. 150/- from 10-12-2021 to 10-01-2022. While making
payment, the candidate has to give the required preliminary data i.e., name, date of birth and mobile
number, etc., If the candidate is interested to pursue graduation at Armed Forces Preparatory college
mentioned in V (B), the fee will be Rs.250/- (Please check the physical fitness requirements
before opting). Candidates who opted Armed Forces Preparatory colleges are also eligible for
admission in general colleges and hence are requested to give the preference options for all colleges.

3. On successful fee payment, Payment Receipt is generated and will be proceeded to STEP-2 with which
he/she can proceed with online application process. Payment receipt only confirms the receipt of
application fee and not the receipt of application form by the Societies.

4. The Candidate should be ready with the scanned passport size (3.5 X 4.5 cms) photograph and
signature in .jpeg/.jpg format with maximum size of 100 KB before filling up the online application

5. Based on the course studied at Intermediate or its equivalent, the candidate will be assigned the
respective test as mentioned in III. Examination pattern & syllabus.
6. The women candidates interested to take admission in 4 Specialized colleges and Armed Forces
Preparatory College of TSWRDCs have to give options as per their choice and those who are not
interested to take admission into special colleges need not to give option for them. * The male
candidates, who are interested to opt for Armed Forces College must select relevant option.

7. STEP 3: The candidate must give the order of preference for the eligible colleges and courses
displayed online (as per the eligibility and preference given during registration). Once the options are
given, the candidate can proceed to submit the application. The candidates are advised to take print
out of submitted application form for reference.

8. The candidates are advised to fill the application with utmost care as they will be solely responsible
for any mistakes/incorrect information entered in the online application form.

9. The applications of the ineligible candidates will be rejected. The selected candidate should be able
to produce all the original certificates at the time of admission as a proof to the information furnished
in the application otherwise the selection of the candidate will be summarily rejected.

VII. Issue of Hall Tickets:

Candidates can download their Hall Tickets from the websites https://www.tswreis.ac.in/ &
http://tgtwgurukulam.telangana.gov.in to them one week before examination. No printed hall ticket
shall be issued / posted to the candidate. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the examination
without a hall ticket.

VIII. Date of Entrance Examination: _23.01.2022 (Sunday)
