3 Calon diminta menjawab soalan peperiksaan dengan tulisan tangan di atas kertas bersaiz
A4 dengan menggunakan dan menyalin format Lampiran 6 - Kertas Jawapan
Peperiksaan yang disediakan.
(Candidates are required to answer the exam questions by handwriting on A4 size paper by
using and copying the format of Appendix 6 - Examination Answer Paper provided.).

4 Dilarang berkomunikasi atau mengganggu calon-calon lain dalam jangka masa

peperiksaan.
(Do not communicate or disturb other candidates during the examination).

5 Calon diminta membaca, memahami isi kandungan serta bersetuju dengan kandungan di
dalam Lampiran 5 - Borang Pengisytiharan Integriti dan hendaklah menandakan
kotak “bersetuju” terlebih dahulu sebelum memuat turun soalan peperiksaan.
(Candidates are required to read, understand and agree with the content in Appendix 5 -
Integrity Declaration Form and must check the "agree" box first before downloading the
exam questions.)

6 Calon diminta melengkapkan butiran berikut pada setiap kertas jawapan.

(Candidates are asked to complete the following details on each answer sheet.

7 Semua dokumen serahan peperiksaan calon akan dimuatnaik ke sistem eLEAP EXAM
UNIMAS. Calon diberikan masa dua puluh (20) minit untuk memuat naik semua dokumen
serahan peperiksaan. Calon mesti memastikan bahawa semua fail dokumen serahan
peperiksaan yang dihantar adalah betul dan tidak rosak, sebelum meninggalkan bilik
peperiksaan.
(All examination submission document must be uploaded to the UNIMAS eLEAP EXAM
system. Candidates are given twenty (20) minutes to submit their examination submission
documents. Candidates must ensure that all the examination submission documents
submitted are correct and uncorrupted, before leaving the examination room).

Calon diminta hanya menggunakan peranti pengimbas (scanner) untuk menangkap

gambar kertas-kertas jawapan dan menyimpannya dalam format PDF.
(Candidates are required to use only a scanner application to capture images of the answer
sheets and save them in PDF format).

Calon diminta menamakan fail kertas jawapan dengan meletakkan “Sesi akademik - Kod
Kursus Peperiksaan-Lampiran 6-Nombor Matrik”
Contoh: 20202021-BEA1083-Lampiran 6-NomborMatrik
(Candidates are asked to rename the answer sheet file by placing "Academic Session -
Examination Course Code-Appendix 6-Matrix Number"
Example: 20202021-BEA1083-Appendix 6-Matrix Number).

8 Calon yang gagal memuatnaik kertas jawapan mereka dalam masa yang diberikan ke
sistem eLEAP EXAM diminta untuk memberi penjelasan atau dianggap tidak menduduki
peperiksaan.
(Candidates who fail to upload their answer paper to eLEAP EXAM in the stipulated time
given must provide a reasonable justification or are deemed not to sit for the examination).

9 Calon yang menghadapi masalah memuatnaik kertas jawapan mereka, perlu

memaklumkan segera masalah mereka ke Urusetia / Ketua Pengawas Peperiksaan melalui
panggilan telefon.
(Candidates that are having problem uploading their answer paper, must notify the
Secretariat / Head of Invigilator immediately through a phone call).

10 Calon dikehendaki mematuhi ETIKA AKADEMIK seperti yang tertera dalam perkara 12
Peraturan Akademik Ijazah Sarjana Muda, UNIMAS.
(Candidates are required to comply with the Etika Akademik as stated in Clause 12 of
Peraturan Akademik Ijazah Sarjana Muda, UNIMAS).

QUESTION 1 [15 marks]

a) As an architect, why should one be aware of environmental issues and how

can architects play their role in overcoming these environmental problems?
Please discuss.
(4 marks)

b) Metabolic rate is a contributing factor to human comfort. When you walk

and exercise moderately your body usually starts to sweat. Discuss with
diagrams how your body controls and responds to environmental
temperature to maintain human comfort.
(6 marks)

c) As an architect, it is important to explain to the client about the benefits of

natural lighting in building design. Please state the benefits of daylighting
and the importance of natural lighting in building design.
(5 marks)

QUESTION 2 [10 marks]

a) Find the angle of sun position from the solar path diagram given for the month
of September at 3.00 pm. Please indicate the vertical angle and azimuth angle.

(4 marks)

b) With the equation please suggest the width of the overhangs for the month of
September at 3.00 pm where the normal size of window is applied (1200mm).

detail with sketch diagram how do you suggest to the client on the design
strategy to achieve thermal comfort for his house.

b) Your client in Selangor asks you to design their house. Please discuss in detail
with sketch diagram how do you suggest to the client on the design strategy
to achieve thermal comfort for their house.
