DIRECT OBSERVATION (20%)

GENERAL INFORMATION
This is a take home assessment. The course learning outcome for this assessment is:
• CLO2: Demonstrate effective & fluent verbal communication skills based on basic English
pronunciation features. (PLO2)
• CLO3: Display confident and independent verbal communication skills in social setting.
(PLO5)

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

1. This is a pair work assignment based on English pronunciation features assigned in Week
9 of the semester.
2. You are to prepare a role play presentation on news reading. The duration is 3-5 minutes
in length.
3. The scripts can be adapted from any published materials and the source must be stated.
4. You are required to submit the scripts to lecturer for approval by Week 10.
5. You will be assessed based on the delivery of the speech, pronunciation and enunciation as
well as teamwork skills.
6. Submission deadline : WEEK 13 OF THE SEMESTER
