Topic: „The best/worst film you saw last year“

I am not a big movie/film fan, I'd rather watch TV shows because they're more
intertaining and have a better plot line than any movie I ever watched, but I occasionaly
put on a movie to watch. Last year I watched a dog movie that I enjoyed very much, I'm
not the biggest animal fan but still this movie was great. The movie name was „A dog's
purpose“ and „A dog's journey“. The movies are connected and are very sad and
emotional.

The movie cast is amazing, the acting and the roles they got were fenomenal.
The main character is a dog named Bailey and his first and final owner Ethan. „A dog's
purpose“ plot is following Bailey and her lifespan of changing owners. Whenever her
life ends she comes back to life as a different dog and finds a different owner. Ethan was
her first and last owner, they have an unbreakable bond that followed them through the
movie. Ethan meets Bailey when he was a little boy and Bailey was a little pup when she
met Ethan. They we're best friends and Bailey was a great wingman to Ethan and helped
him meet his future wife. Ethan gave Bailey the nickname „Boss dog“ and it sticks with
her until the end of „ A dog's journey“. As movies go this is a great family-friendly
movie to watch as it has great moral lessons in it and it's really sad. The only thing I
don't like about the movie is the comic relief that really doesn't bring that much to the
table, seeing that this is supposed to be an emotional, sad movie with a happy ending it
was misplaced. One more thing that I didn't enjoy is that the reincarnations didn't get the
same screen time, some were robbed of it and had just a few minutes while others had
way more, but as far as the movie goes, the movie was still great. I enjoyed the first
movie more than the second as it was more wholesome and it made me tear up, which
doesn't happen too often at all. As for the second movie I enjoyed it as well, it was great,
but it lacked the story telling that the first one had and it was less emotional. The
concept of the movie is more or less the same, the reincarnations and all of that, but the
emotional power of the first one is a lot stronger. „A dog's journey“ follows Ethans
grandchild CJ, she's the main character in this movie. She leaves the farm where they
lived with Ethan at a very young age and she doesn't really remember Ethan and his wife
later on. She leaves because her mother had an argument with Ethan. In the meantime
Bailey dies, and Ethan prays that she takes care of CJ, and she reincarnates later into a
little pup that CJ adopts. This movie follows CJ to New York City as she tries to go to
college. The concept is the same, it's a sad and an emotional movie with a happy ending.

My conclusion when it comes to the topic is that I'm still more of a TV show fan
and always will be, but these movies, I really enjoyed. They were entertaining from start
to finish and they made me get emotional. The movie is a literal representation of the
phrase „A man's best friend“ , because it's the truth, the dog in the movie is there for his
owners, good or bad, the dog is there and it's really nice to see how the director
portrayed it. I recommend that everyone should watch this movie as it's,in my opinion, a
top 10 movie. It's on my top 10 list of movies.
