Step 2:Determine maximum bending moment


Maximum moments caused by the moving wheel loads on the gantry girder and self weight
of the gantry girder.
The maximum moment due to moving loads occur under a wheel when the centre of gravity
(C.G) of wheel load and the wheel are equidistance from the centre of girder. The position of one

wheel base 3.5
