ENGLISH FEST

DAGUPAN CITY, PANGASINAN- Chosen students from Grade 11 and 12 of LNU-SHS showcased their
abilities in terms of English Language as they competed with each other for the event English Festival
last September 19 to 26, 2018.

Guided by the theme “Empowering 21 st Century learners through embracing the English Language in
communicating and conquering the world”. English Club officers led by Ms. Esther Jah Paragas, president
of English of Club, organized the event for students to narrow their ability to express information by
modern English Language to the community.

Each sections gathered their sweats to mold their own winning pieces and performances to reach the
title, champions.

On the first day of the fest focusing on events related to literature which are, Essay Writing, Poetry
Writing, and Scrabble, that was held in different rooms in the university. The next day, Quiz Bee, Spelling
Bee, and News casting were the center of the event.

The ambiance in the university became compressed and tight as more students entered the battlefield.
The third to last days of the event were basically presentation of talents as delivery of speeches, singing
contest, and declamation are only some the competition that were held.

The last day of the event, a lot whispered in the air for mercy to achieve the title. Before the awarding
ceremony, finals for speech choir, singing duet and character parade were showed.
