Cetho Temple

Cetho Temple, the Amazing Temple Above the Clouds

Ceto Temple is a Hindu temple which is believed to have been built in the late Majapahit era (15th
century AD). The location of the temple is on the slopes of Mount Lawu at an altitude of 1496 m above sea
level, and administratively is in Ceto Hamlet, Gumeng Village, Jenawi District, Karanganyar Regency, Central
Java
The temple complex is used by local residents as well as Hindu pilgrims as a place of worship. This
temple is also a place of hermitage for adherents of the original Javanese belief
The name Cetho Temple is well known to various corners. This is proven by the many communities and
tourists who come to this area. The community that comes is usually a bicycle community whose adrenaline
spurs and strength to conquer the cetho climb which is indeed extraordinary.
