16 sts = 3.5 cm (one repeat, relaxed fabric)

Women’s M: hand circumferences 17.5 to


18.5 cm (Stitch pattern is very elastic,
mittens will easily fit hands a little bigger

Cast on 56 stitches with a long tail cast-on. Join work into the round, being careful not to twist.

Weave in ends, using them to close up any holes between mitten top and thumb, if needed. Wash in
cool water with wool wash, roll up in a towel to squeeze out moisture. Reshape to desired dimensions,
pull out scalloped edges at cuff, straighten top edge, and lay flat to dry.
