Background
Around the world many people are perishing due to the high spread of Covid-19
disease. It is of the paramount importance that people are well equipped on the
prevention and control of the deadly pandemic.
Introduction
There was an outbreak of Covid-19 in China in December 2019. The disease has
spread to other countries at the fastest rate. In Zimbabwe the first case was detected
in March 2020. The Ministry of Health and Child Care and various health
organization provided information on preventing the disease.
Part A
a) Definition
Covid-19, previously called coronavirus is a disease caused by a new strain
that has not been previously identified in humans. Coronaviruses are
transmitted between animals and humans or humans to humans.
Part B
a) Write Up
Masks reduce the amount of virus we breathe in and breathe out. Combined
with the vaccines and boosters, masks reduce the risk of spread.

Background
Although agriculture has been introduced in schools, our learners however lack
knowledge of soil types and their properties.
Introduction
The main soil components are 45% inorganic matter, 5% organic matter 25% water
and 25% air. Soil is formed by weathering. Soil needs to be conserved against
pollution and erosion.
Definition
Soil is the loose surface that covers the land, it consist of inorganic materials and
organic matter.
