Code:

Grade Level: Grade 6

Subject: Health Education

1. Review:
Start the lesson by reviewing the respiratory system and common respiratory
diseases that students have previously learned. Ask questions to assess their
understanding and refresh their knowledge.

2. Motivation:
To engage students and create interest in the topic, show a short video or present a
real-life case study about a person who had experienced Whooping Cough. Discuss
the impact of the disease on the individual and their community.

3. Activity:
Divide the class into groups of four or five students. Assign each group a specific task
related to Whooping Cough. Provide them with clear instructions and materials
needed for their activity. Here are three interactive activities:

Activity 1: Whooping Cough Prevention Poster

In this activity, each group will create a poster highlighting preventive measures
against Whooping Cough. They can use illustrations, catchy slogans, and key
information to educate their peers about the disease and how to avoid it.

Activity 2: Role-Play Scenarios

Each group will be given a different scenario related to Whooping Cough prevention.
They will act out the scenario and demonstrate the correct actions to prevent the
spread of the disease. Encourage creativity and emphasize the importance of proper
hygiene practices.

Activity 3: Whooping Cough Quiz Game

Prepare a set of quiz questions about Whooping Cough prevention. Each group will
take turns answering the questions. Award points for correct answers and use a
scoreboard to make it more competitive and engaging.

4. Analysis:
After completing the activities, reconvene as a class and discuss the key findings and
insights from each group's activity. Facilitate a class discussion on the importance of
the preventive measures presented and their effectiveness.

5. Abstraction:
Guide the students in abstracting the main points from the activities. Help them
identify the common preventive measures and the reasons behind their
effectiveness. Encourage critical thinking and promote discussion among the
students.

6. Application:
Provide the students with a real-life problem related to Whooping Cough prevention.
For example, ask them to imagine they are planning a community health fair and
need to come up with strategies to educate the public about the disease and its
prevention. Have them brainstorm ideas and present their solutions to the class.
