DANCE STYLES :

B-Boying
- street dance and the first hip hop dance that originated from black and puerto rican
youths. practioner of the dance is called b-boy, b-girl or breaker.
four movements:

a. toprock - footwork while standing up

b. downrock - footwork with both hands and feet on the floor

c. freezes stylish poses on hands

d. power moves - full body spins and rotations

Popping
- popularized by Samuel Boogaloo Sam Solomon and his crew Electronic Boogaloos. By
quickly contracting and relaxing muscles to cause a jerk in a dancer's body.

Waacking
- an African American form of street dance originating from disco era. Stylized posing and
fast synchronize

Krumping
- relatively new form of the Urban black dance movement, is a dance style to release
anger.

Shuffling
- rave and club dance, fast hill and toe action

Tutting
- creative way of making geometric shapes. King Tut aka Mark Benson is the pioneer.
