 I. Introduction
Coronavirus (Covid-19) is an illness caused by a

virus, spread from one person to person quickly. On 31 December

2019, World health Organization (WHO) was alerted to several
cases of pneumonia in Wuhan City, Hubei Province of China. The
virus that cause COVID-19 is a new coronavirus that has spread
throughout the world. Covid-19 symptoms are range from mild (or
no symptoms) to severe illness.

II. When and How is Covid-19 transmitted:
We know that the disease is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which spreads
between people in several different ways.

❖The virus can spread from an infected
person’s mouth or nose in small liquid
particles when they cough, sneeze,
speak, sing or breathe. These particles
range from larger respiratory droplets
to smaller aerosols.
❖The Covid-19 virus spreads mainly between
people in close contact with each other. It spreads
most easily in crowded settings, closed spaces
with poor ventilation, or thorough prolonged
contact with an infected person.

❖People may also become infected by touching

surfaces that have been contaminated by the virus
when touching their eyes, nose or mouth without
cleaning their hands.

III. How to prevent Covid-19:
Here are the ways to prevent the spread of COVID-19:
1. Get a Covid-19 vaccine when you are offered it and follow local
guidance about vaccination. Vaccine can reduce and stop the ways Corona
virus widespread. Interestingly, Cambodia among first countries to receive
COVID-19 vaccines from COVAX Facility.

2. Wearing a mask in public, especially indoors. Masks can help prevent

the spread of the virus from the person wearing the mask to others.
Because masks can cover your nose and mouth with your bent elbow or a
tissue when you cough or sneeze. Because it these kinds of virus its
transmission every quickly form the way you breath.

3. Washing hand regularly is one of the most effective ways to prevent the
spread of Covid-19. Unless people, especially children develop regularly
hand-washing methods such as wash their hands with shampoo, alcohol
before eating, they have a significantly increase chance of being infected
from Covid-19.

4. Do not stay at the crowded place or indoor, such as the coffee shop,
shopping mall, cinema else. And you should stay home if you feel
unwell.

IV. Number of reported cases:
According to health Ministry of Cambodia official
Facebook page interpretation the number of
reported that Coronavirus cases and deaths in
Cambodia in October 22, 2021:

✓ The total Coronavirus cases in Cambodia:

117,772 people.
✓ The total Coronavirus deaths in Cambodia:
2,734 people.
✓ The total Coronavirus recovered in Cambodia:
112,977 people.
▪ The new cases: 128 people
(results confirmed by PCR)
▪ The recovered cases: 319 people.
▪ The new deaths cases: 09 people.
▪ ( but there were 07 people who were not
get vaccination).

 V. Authority advice on Covid-19:
• The government most always adverting the way Covid-19 spread from one area to area about how
the diseases affected.
• Each Provincial Health Department always running advertising the Covid-19 news by social media,
such as Facebook, YouTube else. More than that, they remined as by ring phone, when we call
someone, we will be heard about Covid-19 information.
• Not only advertising on social media. However, the authorities who responsible for this role, usually
have to caught up with citizen who live in the countryside.
• The government purchase the vaccine for people to protect of infectious disease.
• The government had never careless with people who got Covid-19 infected. On the other hand,
government sometime, offered the budget or food to people who inability to earn money, because
during Covid-19 period, they hard to run their daily business.
• The significant one, the government often make a speech if our country has meet the issue situation,
such as locked down 14 days where the area was a problem or area divide like red area, blue area
and yellow area.

 VI. In conclusion
Covid-19 is a strong virus that can killed millions people over the
world. But , I think we also can killed it, if we join and obey the rule together.
More than that, If you love yourself, your family, your country. Learn to live
with new situation with Coronavirus! Be socially responsible by protecting
yourselfer, your family and your community.
