Assam MBBS Merit List 2021: The Directorate of Medical Education, DME has released the state
merit list for Assam medical and dental admission 2021 in the online mode. Candidates mentioned in
the Assam MBBS merit list 2021 are eligible to participate in the counselling process.

Aspirants who are a resident of Assam and will secure the minimum NEET qualifying percentile are
added to the merit list for Assam MBBS admission 2021. The list will also include the names, NEET

Assam MBBS 2021 Merit List Tie-Breaking Criteria

In a situation where the marks obtained by two or more candidates in NEET 2021 will be equal, the
authorities will follow the inter-se merit mechanism mentioned below to resolve the ties:

• Candidates with higher scores in Biology will be granted a better rank in the state merit list.

• In a situation where the tie still exists, the candidate with better scores in Chemistry will be given a
better Assam MBBS state merit rank.

• In a rare situation where the still continues, then the age will be taken into account and candidates
older in age will be given preference.
