iRMC Firmware download not available

This iRMC firmware version is no longer available for direct download from this support page.

Please read the following information carefully:

The iRMC Firmware is supplied with a predefined common server certificate (default certificate). This is used to
ensure secure communication via HTTPS. This default certificate is provided to have an initial out of the box
encrypted, but untrusted connection to the iRMC.

As described in the iRMC User Manual, it is recommended to replace the certificate either with a generated
certificate or one signed by a trusted own or commercial Certification Authority as soon as possible.

Despite the recommendations in the manuals, we noticed that some customers are still using the default
certificate. Depending on the customer’s network environment, the use of the default certificate may not
provide sufficient protection against eavesdropping or spoofing the communication between the browser and
the iRMC.

Customers should replace the certificate either with a generated certificate or one signed by a trusted own or
commercial Certification Authority.

Therefore, we recommend to our customers to use the firmware 9.20 or higher for iRMC S4 or respectively
firmware 2.20 or higher for iRMC S5 (exception for PRIMEQUEST 3800B firmware 1.75 or higher) that generates
a new self-signed certificate automatically after the firmware update.
