8. The term “equal opportunities” is used in inverted commas to express the


author’s ironic attitude. Despite living in a modern society , women are still
discriminated in one way or another.

developed and developing countries. In my opinion, it could be bridged by
giving poor countries access to modern technologies and teach the natives
how to use them effectively .
