Activity 16 (Lecture 17: Justice and Fairness)
1. Situation 1. Maria and Ning ➢ No, it’s not fair for Maria to take home money less than Ning have. They both work hard that night for the money and they have an equal job so both of them deserve to take the same equal amount of money/salary.
2. Situation 2. Hans’ execution
➢ This scenario is not fair because it shows the rotten system of justice. It is not right to brag someone all of sudden and accuse him as if they have enough evidence to accuse him as a terrorist or criminal. The case of Hans should be brought in court and have the proper way of enactment to prove if he is really guilty or not. Plus, sentencing him to death and executing him without proper evidence is just unfair and beyond the law.
3. Situation 3. Either and Mando
➢ This is an example of fair offense because of them done something wrong. It doesn’t matter how many guns or firearms do they have or carry, as long as those firearms doesn’t have license we don’t have the right to carry them around because it might cause danger to others.
4. Situation 4. Juan Dela Cruz and the Plunderer
➢ This kind of issues is very raw in today’s society. This kind of scenario is obviously unfair knowing that Juan Dela Cruz only did steal a loaf of bread to feed his family. He did such thing to survive because they were helpless and what he did have a better solution only if someone will help and listen to him. On the other hand, the plunderer really deserves to be in prison because what he did is really a crime because he stole the governments money which means it’s the money from the people and it is not right to stole it knowing that h only do it for his own good.
