1. Technology
Technology, nowadays had a great impact on us it has many uses in the industry specially
today that the trend was using the advancement of technology and its advantages in doing
business, the more use of technology in an industry the more efficient it gives its services and
because of this the use of technology became one of the competitive advantages in the industry.
The industry who had maximize the use of technology there were the one that most likely win in
a business competition because of its efficiency. For example, markets that uses e-payments in
receiving payments of a certain product.

E-payment gives a sufficient way in paying goods, it is quick in a way that by just
scanning codes or giving any type of info that is needed paying is instant. The invention of
e-payment became convenient to customers because with its use they were safe in robbery
or if they forgot to bring money or enough money for shopping, they can pay for it by e-
payment. So, with this evolution of technology, it is beneficial to markets to use it because
of the costumers who was on the situation that they had to use e-payment they will go on
the markets that accept this method of payment so it will be the advantage of markets that
accept this method and the disadvantage of the market that don’t acknowledge this type of
payment.

2. Innovation
Financing an innovation could give advantages on the company took interest on it, this
could give the company a better standing on their competitors because if an innovation will
boom on the market the companies involved will also go boom. For example:

that will be easy for costumers to use because costumers will go to a product or services
that would be easier, and sufficient for them to use that why competition of companies to
this matter became a hot topic in way that if a company had developed an easy use product
its competitors will also release a product that is easier to use and convenient for the
costumer. The conveniency of a product and services where use by companies and its
competitors to attract customer to take that certain product. For example:

Nissin cup noodles, it is very popular here in the


Philippines because of its easy way of preparing, just by
pouring hot water on it and a minute to wait it is ready to
eat. Because of this the company had definitely take one
step ahead of their competitors like lucky me instant
noodles although its is popular as well in the country but
when it comes to who is more convenient to use the nissin
cup noodles was easier.

4. Experience
Customers nowadays were unto the experience that they had in a certain
product of a brand company. It became their basis if they will buy or regard that
brand specially on expensive goods. It is the reason why the experience became the
most powerful in terms of competitive advantages because it has a great impact on
the patronage of a customer on a certain brand of product where they base it on their
recent experience on the product. On more thing is that, the costumers don’t only
base it on their own experience they also gets to talk with their colleagues there
experience on the product specially on their first time in buying that brand. For

The Ducati it is a well-known company of their high-end quality motorcycles.


Experience that the costumers got in a unit of a Ducati will tell if it’s good, if it is faster, and
convenient to use than its competitors.
5. Customization
Customization were a competitive advantage that will make a company stand-out among
its competitor, the customization ability is to offer a personalized product that tends to the
costumer personal need. This way, a customer can feel more connected to your company. Also,
because the customers receive tailor-made solutions to their problems, it leaves them with a
sense of satisfaction. Therefore, it is practical that nowadays every business must look forward
to providing personalized customer care services to their customers and potential customers if
not the industry might be left out. For example:

give satisfaction to the costumer as it tends to the specified needs of the buyer.

Here we are talking about personalizing products it likely a customization but it
is not much alike because customization attacks the needs of the costumer and on the other
hand personalizing attacks the costumers’ feelings. Personalizing is an ability to put the
trademark of the customer to the product most likely they make the costumers feel that they
were the only one that owns that product. For example:

It is a type of competitive advantage that the more you produce of something, the better you get
at producing its efficiency increases and costs decrease as production volume goes up which means that
the largest company in this type of industry will have the best competitive advantage the lowest costs
and best production system. With this companies who make use of this advantage can harbor more
customers than its competitors because of its low price and sufficient supply of products. A common
example of economies of scale in action is seen when looking at large supermarket chains versus
independent groceries like the Pure gold and Sari-Sari Store. The products in the Pure gold were
cheaper than the products that we buy in a Sari-Sari store because Pure gold having a larger chain
having more cash in the bank and a greater number of customers, they are able to purchase a huge
quantity of groceries from suppliers, resulting in a lower cost per unit, compared to the independent
stores like Sari-Sari Stores that the price of products that they offer where more expensive because
their supply comes from bigger supermarkets that offers standard price with this they tend to increase
its cost for them to have a profit.

Variety is one of the competitive advantages that many sectors took it as their advantage to their
competitors because selling variety of goods and services means more customers for them. Selling
different variety of products for different kind of customers one of the best practical strategy that a
business will go. The main reason for it is customers had a different need and by going to one only
market that has those different products it will be convenient to the costumers. For example:

It is one of the famous markets here in the Philippines, it offers different type of product its either
clothing’s, accessories, kitchen wares and any other staff. It became successful from 1985 until now
because of this strategy
