Completion Fluid Services Liquid Viscosifier

Description LIQUI-VIS EP is a high purity HEC polymer dispersed in a water soluble carrier. It is
designed to viscosify fresh water, salt water, and brines such as:
C Calcium chloride
C Potassium chloride
C Sodium chloride
C Potassium bromide
C Sodium bromide
C Calcium bromide (up to 12.5 lb/gal)

Applications/Functions C Clean the hole while milling or underreaming

C Viscosify carrier fluids used for gravel packing
C Lower fluid loss into the formation
C Prepare spacer for displacement
C Friction reducer for coiled tubing applications

Advantages C Non-sheening product that contains no hydrocarbons

C Does not form lumps or fish-eyes
C Does not contain organophilic clays
C Minimizes formation damage
C Disperses easily into fresh water or brine with minimum shear
C Develops a smooth, uniform viscosity as illustrated in the following graph

Recommended Treatment C Mix 0.2 to 1 gal (0.70 to 4.55 L) of LIQUI-VIS EP per barrel of fluid according to
the brine type.
C Add through mixing hopper if available.
C Mix LIQUI-VIS EP with water or brine having a neutral pH for maximum
effectiveness.
Note: Viscosity can be enhanced by raising the pH after the LIQUI-VIS EP has
dissolved.
