MOBILE BASED ATTENDANCE SYSTEM

OVERVIEW: This application is mainly designed for the faculties and other staff members or
organizational heads of the institutes who take attendance of their students and employees regularly.
Using this system, all you have to do is to once create a database in this application, of all the students
or employees and then you can regularly take attendance of those into your phone only.

This system is best fitted for those who don’t like to waste their time while taking attendance and also
don’t like to miss important time of their students and employees too.

EXISTING SYSTEM: Right now, in this time, the organizational head or the faculties have to take
attendance in their register. There are many a lot faults in this ongoing system.

Once if your register or the documents related to attendance get lost somewhere, then you will end up
losing all the details which will of great loss for both the faculties and students. Also, it will take a lot of
time in marking everyone’s present via hand. Sometimes it does happen that the faculties forget to
bring their attendance register and they will take up attendance in page, which in turn will be of a good
profit for some student’s as they mark proxy attendance of their friends who are not present on that
day.

PROPOSED SYSTEM: In proposed system, the faculty just have to download and installed the application
and then connect it to the server to add the names and other details of the students and then, without
putting more efforts and being paperless and also pen/pencil less, the faculty can take attendance on
his/her smartphone and thus reducing the afraid of losing of documents or register of attendance and
also saving a lot of time and efforts and also save the chances of putting proxy by the students.

MODULES: The project Mobile based attendance system contains the given modules:

1.) FACULTY MODULE: This module contains the profiles of all the faculties and faculties have to
login into their account in order to mark the attendance. Faculties can work whenever they wish
and can change the module as per their choice.
2.) STUDENTS MODULE: All the names and attendance markups are add in this module. Students
module is mainly used for entering details about the students. And no faculty detail involvement
is require in this module.
3.) ATTENDANCE MODULE: All the details related to attendance are present at one module and it is
known to be an attendance module.
4.) OVERVIEW MODULE: When the attendance is not being taken and when were the holidays
come and went and all the details related to this as present in this module.
