Objective : To demonstrate the temperature distribution for steady-state heat conduction through a uniform

plane wall and to show the effect of change in heat flow

Theoretical Background : If a hot section is in contact with a cold section, as shown in Fig. 1.1, then heat will
be transferred from the hot section to the cold section by conduction. The rate of heat transfer Q is increased
as the temperature gradient is increased. The value of [Q / (A . DT/Dx)] is always constant for all rates of heat
flow. This value is the thermal conductivity of the wall material.
