Prepare answer to the common question: “Tell me about yourself, and why are you
interested in this role with our company?”. The idea is to quickly communicate who
you are and what value you will bring to the company and the role. Also, very
important Re-read the job description. I may want to print it out and begin underlining
specific skills the employer is looking for. I should think about examples from my past
and current work that align with these requirements. I need to prepare to be asked
about times in the past when I used a specific skill and to tell stories with a clear
Situation, Task, Action and Result. Writing out a few examples before the interview can
help I respond with good quality answers. I should use confident, accessible body
language and smile frequently too. Don't forget make eye contact when you’re
speaking. I need to sit or stand tall with your shoulders back. Before the interview,
take a deep breath and exhale slowly. This will help me manage any feelings of anxiety
and will encourage greater self-confidence. Respond truthfully to the questions I'm
asked. Tie my answers back to my skills and accomplishments by providing examples
of solutions and results I have achieved.
