About the business: B


​ ags Galore is a company that manufactures bags in China and 
import bags to Australia. Bags Galore need an e-commerce website to increase 
market share, revenue and customer satisfaction in line with the company’s strategic 
plan. 
 
About the role:  
Bags Galore wants to start an online shop to sell directly to the public. Every day will 
be different in this role and you will be responsible for providing exceptional service 
for every customer. This will include finalising purchases of products, assisting in 
applications for finance, organising product deliveries and any other requests that 
may come your way. We are incredibly passionate about providing exceptional 
customer service, however not everything always goes to plan, and as a result this role 
deals with resolving customer concerns. You will need to have resilience in tough 
situations and be able to think outside the square to resolve problems. We are looking 
for someone who loves going over and above for their customers 
● A positive and welcoming approach to both clients and staff 
● A can do attitude 
● Excellent written communication and customer service skills 
● The ability to confidently multi-task and manage time and deadlines

You must follow these guidelines: 

● The  interview  will  be  a  panel  format,  where  the  interviewers  ask  questions 
together.  
● The  candidate  on  the  other  hand, will attend the interview on his/her own and all 
members of the interviewed group should have a turn. 
● Once everyone has been interviewed, the interviewing team will meet and choose 
a candidate. 
● The interviewers will give the success/failure news to each candidate individually. 
● After  the  process  is  over the interviewers will wright a brief 250 word explanation 
on how they made their hiring decision and describe the induction process. 

You must submit your evidence via ​written response, minimum of 250 words. 

 
Prepare  answer  to  the  common  question:  “Tell  me  about  yourself,  and  why  are  you 
interested  in  this  role  with  our  company?”.  The  idea  is  to  quickly  communicate  who 
you  are  and  what  value  you  will  bring  to  the  company  and  the  role.  Also,  very 
important  Re-read  the job description. I may want to print it out and begin underlining 
specific  skills  the  employer  is  looking  for.  I should think about examples from my past 
and  current  work  that  align  with  these  requirements.  I  need  to  prepare  to  be  asked 
about  times  in  the  past  when  I  used  a  specific  skill  and  to  tell  stories  with  a  clear 
Situation,  Task, Action and Result. Writing out a few examples before the interview can 
help  I  respond  with  good  quality  answers.  I  should  use  confident,  accessible  body 
language  and  smile  frequently  too.  Don't  forget  make  eye  contact  when  you’re 
speaking.  I  need  to  sit  or  stand  tall  with  your  shoulders  back.  Before  the  interview, 
take a deep breath and exhale slowly. This will help me manage any feelings of anxiety 
and  will  encourage  greater  self-confidence.  Respond  truthfully  to  the  questions  I'm 
asked.  Tie  my  answers  back  to  my  skills  and  accomplishments  by providing examples 
of solutions and results I have achieved.

Task 2 - Monitor and Review Operational Performance 

The main objectives of this task are: 

● Identify areas of underperformance, recommend solutions and take prompt 


action to rectify the situation 
● Plan and implement systems to ensure that mentoring and coaching are 
provided to support individuals and teams to effectively, economically and safely 
use resources 

a)  Review  your  ​OKR  Report  Week  3  (Assessment  1)  document  and  ​Identify  areas  of 
employee  underperformance,  determine  possible  remedial  actions  and  prepare  to 
performance manage underperforming employees.   

You must include: 

● Submit  copy  of  your  ​PDF  OKR  Week  3  ​(Assessment  1)  ​document  as  a  separate 
PDF file. 
● Identify the employee who has underperformed. 
● Determine possible remedial actions. 
● Describe  what  actions  will  take  place  to  performance  manage  underperforming 
employees. 
● If  you  are  unable  to  identify  any  underperformance  in  your  group,  please 
describe a hypothetical scenario and use it as your sample.

The employee in charge of customer service must achieve 100% sales of the product in
comparison to the given objective, however, he needed a sales performance of 70%
compared to the given objective.

To have a constant sales performance, you must monitor the difficulties you encounter
