working hours is 8 hours from Monday to Saturday with Sunday as rest day. In August 2019,
she was required to work on 3 Sundays, with extra 3 hours. On National Day, she has to
work for 2 hours. Her basic salary is RM2000 per month inclusive of travelling allowance of
RM200. Calculate her total wages on August 2019.

Normal working hours = 8 hours

Normal working days = 6 days

Overtime = 3 days on Sunday (extra 3 hours)

Work on public holiday = 2 hours

Rate of payment (per hour) = 1.5 (ordinary rate)

Basic salary = RM 1,800

Travelling allowance = RM 200

Daily rate = salary per month (basic salary) / 26 days

= 1800 / 26 days

= RM 69.23 per day / 8 hours

=RM 8.65/ per hour

RD x 3 Sundays (full time) = RM 69.23 x 3 days

= RM 207.69

OT on RD (3 hrs x 3 Sundays)

= 2 times (OT on Sunday) x 8.65 x 3 hours extra x 3 days

= RM 155.7

National Day (public holiday) = 2 times of your daily rate

= RM 69.23 x 2 times of your daily rate

= RM 138.46

Total wages for August 2019 = 1800 + 200 + 207.69 + 155.7 + 138.46

= RM 2501.85

OT RD = RM 9.62 x 2 times x 3 hours (overtime hours) x 2 days (2 weeks consecutively)

work are 8 hours per day. Calculate his total earning for the month of May 2016.

Salary per month = RM 2,000 – mileage claim (RM 270)

Basic salary = RM 1,730
Working hours = 8 hours
Labour Day (overtime hours) = 3 hours
Second public holiday = 2 hours
Independence Day (overtime hours) = 4 hours (takyah masukkan sebab ID ni on August
bukan May)
Overtime (Sunday) = 8 hours
Overtime (Monday) = 2 hours
Daily rate = basic salary / 26 days
= Rm 1,730 / 26 days
= Rm 66.53 per day x 8 hours
= RM 8.31 per hour
LB/PH 1 (normal working hours) = RM 66.53 x 2 times

PH 1 OT (3 hours) = RM 8.31 x 3 times x 3 hours
= RM 74.79
PH 2 (2 hours) = RM 66.53 x 2 times
= RM 133.06
RD (Sunday) = RM 66.53 (full day more than 4 hours so dapat gaji utk 1 day of wages)
ND OT (2 hours) = RM 8.31 x 1.5 times x 2 hours

Total wages for May 2016 = 1730 + 270 + 133.06 + 74.79 + 133.06 + 66.53 + 24.93
= RM 2,432.37
