QUESTION NO 1
Explain the role of HR in traditional (bureaucratic) manufacturing companies like
Jinnah Foundries

In traditional (bureaucratic) manufacturing companies like Jinnah foundries the role of


HR is as follows.
 The formal HR policies and procedures should be made.
 The HR department should be Proactive or active.
 The informal procedures and policies should be avoided so the workload on
supervisors may reduce and the can work effectively.
 The HR department is to design the salary structure of employees on the behalf of
their skills and experience.
 To make the policies to retain the old employees.
 HR department should have to make a direct contact with lower level factory workers
to hear their problems so the company's production will be increased.

QUESTION NO 2
What can be the benefits of human resource workforce planning incurred to the
Company (Jinnah Foundries)?

Human resource provides benefits as they make procedures and policies to align the
workforce accordingly, HR department fills the communication gap with lower level
workforce which will increase the production of the organization and HR reduces the
workload of supervisors by making the turnover rate minimum and the work is
distributed among the members which leads to the efficiently performing the work tasks.
HR maintains the payroll systems, and benefits the employees by giving them monthly
salary packages with compensation benefits and stop giving wages to the employees.
In 2014, Before joining of Hamza there were “Seth” System in the Jinnah Foundries and
they were facing several issues and Hamza suggested to develop Human resource
department. The possible benefits of placing human resource workforce in the company
is as follows:
1. Understand objective
As Hamza had identified some chronic & critical challenges faced by the
company due to the poor management practices lack of policies & unclear HR
structure.
The company don’t know about the clear target of the order when it will achieve.
By the implementation of HR. Practices in the company. The desired goal can
clear
 To hire employees on the behalf of skills required.
 To hire by knowing their potential & competencies.
 To make sure that the hiring will be permanent or contractual according to
the order received from the clients.
 To make sure the duration that how much time will require to complete
the order
Before that the (Jinnah Foundries) don’t know about their objective clearly. On the daily
wage basis, they hire labor to accomplish task and lot of time wasted on that to selecting
the perfect one.
2. Human resource inventory
By this company having comprehensive list about the employees which included
the basic information about their skills, experience, education, age, sex, salary,
job preference and achievement.
3. Forecast demand
Before that company don’t know about their position where it will stand. The
complete implementation of procedure, policies and complete departmentalization
will help the company to know about the future trends, innovation and market
demand. As the trend is now getting change to survive in global world the change
is necessary

4. Estimate gaps
By need assessment the gap can identified successfully that the present skills in
organization is align with the goal or target. But with help of HR it makes easier
for the company to using the data of employees to place employees at right
position in right time.
5. Formulate plans
The HR department in Jinnah Foundries fully established the plan regarding task
allocation how much worker will hire on contractual basis or permanent. And the
salary will design according to them as the medical allowance and two days off in
a week will be given to employees without deduction of the salary.
6. Implement plans
The HR department help the (Jinnah Foundries) a complete guideline that what
actions they have to take and provide proper direction how to achieve
organizational goals.
7. Monitor, control & feedback
The wastage of resources was too much in the company and the inspection of the
material were not effective. By the help of HR, the resource allocation will get
easy. The most important capital of the organization is Human capital. when
employees were liable to give feedback on the using of resources then the cost of
wastage material will get low. With the help of assigning task, the employee’s
effectiveness came to know to supervisor they examine or monitor that the task is
completed according to the standard or not.

QUESTION NO 3
By applying the principles (identify, plan, implement, evaluate) of change
management, what suggestions would you provide to Jinnah Foundries to execute
the changes endorsed by HR consultants?

Jinnah Foundries should have to believe on HR consultants. They should have to support
and follow HR consultant suggestions because all those suggestions were briefly
analyzed and observed and development after so much research. All those suggestions
were worth to implement and evaluate as they produce better results. Jinnah Foundries
should have to leave Seth culture to be international organization, and to progress
worldwide.

QUESTION NO 4
How would you defend the view point that there was a need for the proposed change
for Jinnah Foundries?

Yes, there is a need of proposed change in Jinnah Foundries as there is a Seth culture and
everyone depends on top management for every decision. The HR department is missing,
monthly salaries are not settled with employees, the skilled and experienced employees
are not hired but we're temporary. These are some of the issues Which are not focused by
top management. So there is a need of change in company which should be accepted by
Top management.

Question no 5
We can use following techniques to handle the senior employees' resistance to
change
1: Try to engage them by listening their problems and issues and making it sure for them
that the organization is concerned about them.
2: Implement change in several stages so that it can reduce resistance. Several stages can
make it easy for employees to get attached with the change.
3: Communicate with the employees to get the reasons and their solutions that are being
faced by employees.
4: Make compensation packages for employees to make them stay connected with the
organization.
5: Explain the benefits and outcomes of change to employees in detailed form so that
they can realize the need of change in the organization.
6: Use emotional intelligence as a tool to convince employees to resistance.
7: Provide them trainings regarding the change so that it become easy for them to accept
the change.
8: Share your progress with your employees. It will motivate them to accept change on
time.
