What is FPC

FPC is a chemical Specifically designed to promote a

more efficient burn of hydrocarbon fuels. Most other
fuel additives on the market today are design to treat
symptoms of incomplete combusion. For example, many additives
are detergents which peptize and remove engine carbon.
By contrast FPC acts upon the combustion process itself, reducing many
of the problems associated with incomplete combustion thus eliminating the
need for additives that treat symptoms only.
As scientifically accepted, some elements are known to assist combustion with Fe being
one of the best. FPC is a Fe++ based organo-metallic catalyst which blends readily with
any liquid hydrocarbon fuel. Molecules of ferrous picrate act as flame initiators within the
fuel at the instant of ignition. The result is faster flame propagation in the combustion
chamber and a reduction in the time required to burn the fuel. Combustion is more uniform with more of
the fuel being converted to motive energy. This improves power, fuel economy and reduces problems
associated with incomplete combustion. Significant reductions in smoke and greenhouse gas emissions are also
realized . Fuel efficiencies of 2-8% are generally realized following fuel treatment with FPC.

About Us:
Fuel technology International Pty Ltd (FTI), is a company based in Australia with it’s head office located in Melbourne. FTI holds
exclusive rights to market and distribute Fuel Performance Catalyst (FPC), a patented product that is manufactured by Fuel
Technology Pty Ltd (www.fueltechnology.com.au). The company’s distribution rights extend to; Middle-East & Asian country
Fuel Technology Pty Ltd is a subsidiary of FPC International Inc. (www.fpc1.com), based in Ohio USA. Both companies hold worldwide
patents for FPC. And have manufacturing facilities located in Australia and the USA.
In addition to distributing FPC, FTI specialises in direct exhaust emission testing, direct exhaust monitoring of diesel particulate
matter and monitoring fuel quality in storage. The company also supply fuel treatment systems with a state of the art diesel
filtration system that is design to preserve diesel fuel. The filtration system helps remove moisture (including emulsified
water)—a significantly problematic factor that plagues diesel fuel kept in storage and is well-known for its detrimental effects
on fuels tanks and internal engine components.

Improved Fuel Economy

Fuel economy is the initial benefit realized from FPC use. Since the action of the FPC catalyst causes fuel to
burn more efficiently, more power is released per unit volume of fuel. Therefore, less fuel is required at a
particular load setting. EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers), AAR
(American Association of Railroads) and other recognized testing procedures have documented a
2% to 8% reduction in fuel consumption with FPC. These findings continue to be substantiated in
field testing using engineering standard tests, Specific Fuel Consumption and AS2077-1982 Carbon Mass Balance.

2
Reduced Harmful Emissions
Pollutant reduction is a major benefit of FPC use. Further to other independent tests, the University of Western Australia
“Centre for Energy” tests recently conducted by world renowned expert in the field of combustion, Winthrop Professor Dongke
Zhang, have verified significant reductions in carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2) and the health hazard diesel particulate
matter (DPM) following FPC treatment of fuel.

Reduced Maintenance Costs

Improved fuel efficiency means a reduction in the products of incomplete combustion, ie soot, varnish, carbon monoxide and un
burnt hydrocarbons. Hard carbon deposits are the cause of many major maintenance problems. Their reduction or removal
provides a significant maintenance saving and reduction of wear on engine parts such as pistons, valve stems, cylinder liners
and injector tips. Any small carbon deposits that may occur in engines using FPC are soft and can be wiped off with a cloth.
Oil contamination is lessened. Downtime for maintenance is reduced by FPC. Engines burning treated fuel have an extended life
between overhauls. FPC catalyst causes fuel to burn more efficiently resulting in more power per unit volume of fuel being
released along with cleaner combustion spaces. Photo depicts head and valves following 8,000 hrs running on

Independent Testing

GLOBALY, many research institutes universities and orgnizations testes FPC independently. The complete
testing reports have already uploaded on (www.fpc1.com). Whereas some pf them shortly one mentioned
below.

University of Western Australia (U.W.A.) – March 2014

A major mining company requested the University of Western Australia (UWA) “Centre for Energy” investigate
the effectiveness of FPC Combustion Catalyst when dosed into diesel fuel. This desk top study steered by
world renowned expert in the field of combustion, Winthrop Professor Dongke Zhang concluded that FPC was
capable of providing significant fuel savings. This led onto a four year comprehensive testing program
predominantly funded by the Australian Research Council and the major mining company.
Conclusions from this study determined FPC will reduce fuel consumption by 2.4% to 4.5% in an as new engine,
reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions by up to 22% and Diesel Particulate Matter by up to 39%. As acknowledged in
UWA reports, greater fuel efficiencies can be expected in older engines.

Engine Systems Development Centre, Canada -
May 2003
This test is designed to be conducted similar to the AAR RP-503 tests but at a more economical price.
Tests were conducted on a large single cylinder medium speed diesel engine operating at its most efficient
mode of full power. Following FPC treatment a 1.67% to 1.71% fuel efficiency was measured.

CAD Railway Services Canada – February 2003

This test was similar to the SwRI test only conducted on a 3,200 EMD 12-710G3A locomotive at Low Idle, Notch 5
and Notch 8, being full load. These Engineering Standard tests provide evidence of a 2.5% to 7% fuel efficiency
gain at differing loads following FPC treatment of fuel. Smoke emissions were reduced by 5.8% at Notch 8.
