MEET Rajesh
Rajesh is a budding Webs series personality. He started with
modeling and got his first break in a reality web series show -
Splitfire. He won that show and never looked back. He went from
one show to another, winning some and losing some.

He made a few small roles in a few web series, before landing the
lead role in a series about a boy with a dream to become a
international cricketer. The series was well received by the
audience and Rajesh became a star overnight.

Rajesh has now landed multiple other projects and there is a

potential movie coming his way. If he gets that then that would be
his entry ticket for Bollywood.

Both you and Rajesh are from the same town and school.
he is your school senior.
MEET Granny
You have moved to the new city for your office and you have been
staying as a paying guest with your fiance’s grandmother. You also call
her Granny.

Granny is a graduate from BHU and is a well read person who likes to
travel and meet new people. She is interested in watching both daily
soaps, Bollywood, and Hollywood movies. Being a voracious reader,
she is also well aware of the what is happening in the world around.

She is not that well versed in technology though and finds using
smartphones and technologies, such as Whatsapp and FB etc,
too cumbersome.
MEET Akshay
Quite recently you bumped into Akshay at a mall. He is your childhood
friend. You used to be benchmates when you were in primary school.
Later, his father was transferred to another city and his entire family
moved with him.

Akshay now works at a multinational bank and resides in the same city
as you do. He has completed his graduation in Commerce and masters
in finance. He works as a Personal Banker with the bank.

He is fond of cricket and claims to be a good player himself. He is

also fond of Indian classical music and is learning play Sitar on his
weekends. Akshay is not a very travel-adventure-kind of person
and loves to spend time with his family.

He is tech-savvy person and has all the latest gadgets and apps
with him. He has a fair understanding of latest trends in tech too.
MEET Vidya
Vidya is the Senior Manager at XYZ Inc, which is one of the key
accounts you and your team is responsible for.

XYZ Inc. is a major PSU company with Pan India presence. Sify has been
associated with them for little over 2 years and Vidya is one of the key
stakeholders in the project.

Vidya is a former IITian with a Six SIgma Black Belt. She has been
involved in the project right from conceptualization and is
leading the overall project. She is known to be very
meticulous and thorough in his work and expects the same
from his team and vendors both.

She is also a not very easy stakeholder to work with as her

work expectations are quite high. She is hands-on with the
project updates and always strives to keep the project
in green.

MEET Rajesh
You bumped into Rajesh at the school reunion. Although, he is a
star now and have his own following at the event, he recognized
you.

You know that he has recently faced a very bad press due to a
flopped web series and on his personal front as well he is
struggling due to health issues caused by Covid-19.

You don’t hold actors in great regards as it is your belief that

acting is their work just like selling is your work and they should
not be revered so much. Yet, you think Rajesh is a good person as
you know him from his school days and want to build a good
relationship with him.

At the school reunion, you went to talk with him. How will you
communicate with him keeping ensuring superior interpersonal
skills?
MEET Granny
Recently, Granny booked a trip to Europe and just before her travel
date, the trip was cancelled due to the new variant of the virus found in
some African countries.

Granny has already made the payment for flight and hotel bookings,
although, the travel agent has assured her that she will get the refund
or her dates will be adjusted, it is unsure how long it will take.
Considering the substantial amount of money invested, Granny is
worried about it.

Additionally, the travel agency has informed that they will have all
the communication sent to her on her e-mail and whatsapp,
neither of which she is quite friendly with.

How will you practice interpersonal skills here?

MEET Akshay
Akshay calls you worried sick. He is troubled with his new boss at office,
who has made his life miserable.

His new boss has made it a mandate to make a certain amount of sell
for each of the portfolios the bank has to offer and failing to do that will
attract monetary penalty. Also, this is going to badly affect the
performance appraisal.

Although, Akshay manages to meet his targets each month but selling
each type of the product is a unjust demand in his opinion. Over and
above, the boss is quite rude in her overall demeanor and provides
feedback then and there on the floor in front of everyone.

Recently, he had a minor tussle with her and he thinks that she may
take actions which can jeopardise his career.

How will you practice interpersonal skills here?

MEET Vidya
Vidya has escalated an issue due to delay in the deliverable.

There was a crucial project delivery which was supposed to take

place last week on Friday, but due to some technical reasons, the
team couldn’t make the delivery.

This is the second time the team has missed the promised delivery
date, which has infuriated Vidya. She has escalated the issue to higher
ups and wants a corrective action to be taken immediately.

You understand that the team leader from your team had
already informed his counterpart in Vidya’s team about the
potential delay & troubles faced by the team, however, it
was not communicated Vidya.

How will you handle this situation practicing superior

interpersonal skills?
