Learning Objective(s):

1. Understand the E-commerce Laws in India and the contemporary issues related to E-
commerce.
2. Examine the applicability of the Information Technology Law in India in specifically
in the field of E-Commerce.
3. It aims at providing in-depth knowledge about the adjudication and investigation of
cyber-crimes relating to E-commerce.
4. Identify core provisions relating to E-Commerce, Digital Signatures and regulatory
framework under the Act.

Learning Outcome (s):

After the completion of this course the student will be able to:
 Comprehend the legal framework of E-Commerce laws.
 Understand Information Technology Act, 2000 in the context of e –commerce law
 Understand the impact of Information Technology Act, 2000 on the E-Commerce.
 Comprehend definitions, taxation schemes and working of Information Technology
Act, 2000.
 Analyse various offences under the Information Technology Act, 2000 in relation to
E-Commerce.
 Apply law to the issues in e- commerce in global context
