“Diversity in Peru”

Peru is a country with diversity. Peruvians are friendly, hard-

working and honest. They do different activities to celebrate
diversity in their communities.

My name is Killari. I am from Puno, but I live in

Tacna. I am 15 years old. I speak Quechua and
Spanish in my community. I prepare Pachamanca
with my family. My friends and I celebrate the
Virgen de la Candelaria in my community. My
friends and I love traditional dances from Puno.
We sing our favourite songs in Quechua. I love
Peru because it is a diverse country.

My name is Manuel. I am from Iquitos, but I live in

Arequipa. I am 12 years old. I speak Tukuna and
Spanish. I prepare Tacacho con Cecina with my
family. My friends and I celebrate the Fiesta de San
Juan in my community. My cousins and I love
traditional dances from Iquitos. We sing our favourite
songs in Tukuna. I love Peru because it is a diverse
country.
