GROUP PROJECT INSTRUCTIONS

COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM FOR ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS AND


TRANSFER KNOWLEDGE

Instructions:
Road safety situation in Malaysia has deteriorated rapidly over the last years, mainly due to a
number of reasons, which include growing vehicle population, the lack of appropriate road
safety interventions, and the driver attitudes. The estimated overall annual cost of road
crashes is considered high, and Malaysia has lost thousand people annually due to road
accidents.

The main goal of this project is to promote road safety awareness to instill road safety
discipline and knowledge, to the communities creatively through social media. The outcome
of this project is that the communities will have gain knowledge on road safety which will help
to save lives and properties.

Through this project, each group needs to:

1. Provides a short video (not more than 2 minutes) to convey a road safety message to the
specific targeted communities.
2. The content of short video should cover any of the following themes
a. Youth and Road Traffic Injuries
b. How Crashes Happen

3. On each video, the Logo of UTHM and Kidsafe, should be visible.


4. Each group must submit the following:

a. A Report (in English) detailing your group’s involvement in the project from the
planning stage up to the end of the project. Include photographs and materials used
when conducting the project. The report should include these:
 Introduction
 Objective
 Methodology
 Conclusion

b. A soft copy of the short video

Marks : 20 %
