Installation instructions for Mac OS X & Windows

Mac OS X

1. Move the UnRarX file to your Applications folder. If you already have a utility that can extract .rar files,
such as BetterZip, you can use that instead.

2. Launch UnRarX. From the drop down menu next to “Extract to:” choose a location where the VI.ONE
library is to be installed.

3. Drag the file VI.ONE.part01.rar onto the UnRarX window. This will begin extracting the files from parts 1-8
to the chosen location, so this action only needs to be done once.

4. Once the files have been extracted, there will be a folder named “VI.ONE Library” in the chosen location.

5. If you already have a full version of Kontakt 5 or Kontakt Player 5, you can skip to step 6. If you do not
have a version of Kontakt already installed, launch the “Kontakt_5_Player_530_Mac.dmg” and follow the
on screen instructions to complete the installation.

6. Launch Kontakt , then click on the Libraries tab from the Kontakt browser on the left side of the Kontakt
interface. Just below “Libraries,” click on “Add Library.” A “Locate Folder” window will appear. Navigate
to the VI.ONE Library folder, highlight it, then click choose. VI.ONE should now appear in Kontakt’s library
browser.

7. To fully authorize it, click on the “Activate” button next to the library’s name. When clicked, an activation
window will appear prompting you to login. If you already have an account, enter your login information
then click “OK.” If you do not have an account you will need to create one. Once logged into your account,
you will see five boxes next to the product name where your twenty-five digit serial number can be
entered. Once entered, click “Activate.” Once successfully activated, VI.ONE is ready to use. You are
allowed to install and use VI.ONE on up to two computers simultaneously.
Windows

1. Please go to http://www.winrar.de to download WinRar. If you already have a utility that can extract .rar
files, you can use that instead.

2. Right click on the file VI.ONE.part01.rar, then choose “Extract Files...” This will open an “Extraction path and
options” window.

3. From the “Destination Path” drop down menu, choose the location where the VI.ONE library should be
installed. Next, Click OK. This will begin extracting the files from parts 1-8 to the chosen location, so this
action only needs to be done once.

4. Once the files have been extracted, there will be a folder named “VI.ONE Library” in the chosen location.

5. If you already have a full version of Kontakt 5 or Kontakt Player 5, you can skip to step 6. If you do not
have a version of Kontakt already installed, launch the “Kontakt 5 5.3.0 Setup PC.exe” and follow the on
screen instructions to complete the installation.

6. Launch Kontakt, then click on the Libraries tab from the Kontakt browser on the left side of the Kontakt
interface. Just below “Libraries,” click on “Add Library.” A “Locate Folder” window will appear. Navigate
to the VI.ONE Library folder, highlight it, then click choose. VI.ONE should now appear in Kontakt’s library
browser.
