1 Login Management
After you completing this chapter, you will know:
>> Logging In to the MCN System
>> Changing Your Password
>> Modifying Your Profile

1.1 Logging In to the MCN

System
Abstract The MCN system provides an administrator Web portal for you to
manage the MCN service:
¡ Administrator management
¡ Subscriber management
¡ Batch provision
¡ System management
¡ Statistics
When you log in using different accounts, you may have different
operation rights. If you log in as the super administrator, you have
all the operation rights. If you log in as a general administrator,
your operation rights depend on the roles assigned to the admin-
istrator.
Prerequisites Before you begin, make sure:
¡ The database runs properly.
¡ The Web server of the MCN system runs properly.
¡ The host from which you want to access the MCN system is
connected to the Web server of the MCN system well.
Steps 1. In the IE address bar, enter the URL of the administrator Web
portal. The login page is displayed, as shown in Figure 1.

2 Rights Management
After you completing this chapter, you will know:
>> Overview
>> Role Management
>> Administrator Management
>> Operation Log Management

2.1 Overview
Purpose This chapter describes how to create and delete roles, and assign
roles to administrators.
When creating a role, you must specify operation rights for the
role. When creating an administrator, you must assign one or more
roles to the administrator. Thus, every administrator has certain
operation rights. With appropriate rights, you can delete existing
administrators, but you can never delete the super administrator
or yourself.
Terms Administrator: Administrators refer to the operators that can log
in to the administrator Web portal of the MCN system. Administra-
tors are divided into the super administrator and general admin-
istrators.
¡ Super administrator: When the installation of the MCN system
completes, the super administrator is created automatically.
Both the account ID and the initial password are "admin". The
super administrator can use all the functions provided by the
administrator Web portal.
¡ General administrator: General administrators refer to all the
non-super administrators. General administrators are created
through the administrator Web portal, and their operation
rights depend on the roles assigned to them.
Procedure A complete procedure for adding an administrator is described in
the table below.
