2.1 Overview
Purpose This chapter describes how to create and delete roles, and assign
roles to administrators.
When creating a role, you must specify operation rights for the
role. When creating an administrator, you must assign one or more
roles to the administrator. Thus, every administrator has certain
operation rights. With appropriate rights, you can delete existing
administrators, but you can never delete the super administrator
or yourself.
Terms Administrator: Administrators refer to the operators that can log
in to the administrator Web portal of the MCN system. Administra-
tors are divided into the super administrator and general admin-
istrators.
¡ Super administrator: When the installation of the MCN system
completes, the super administrator is created automatically.
Both the account ID and the initial password are "admin". The
super administrator can use all the functions provided by the
administrator Web portal.
¡ General administrator: General administrators refer to all the
non-super administrators. General administrators are created
through the administrator Web portal, and their operation
rights depend on the roles assigned to them.
Procedure A complete procedure for adding an administrator is described in
the table below.

Abstract You can add roles and specify rights to the roles. Once one or
more roles are assigned to an administrator, the administrator has
the rights that the roles have.
Steps 1. Select Manage Operator > Manage Role. The role manage-
ment page is displayed, as shown in Figure 3.
3. Enter the name of the role you want to add and give a descrip-
tion about the role. The name is unique and mandatory, but
the description is optional.
4. Specify rights to the role.
� To select some rights from a right set, select the desired
rights one by one.
� To select all rights in a right set, select the right set.
5. Click Submit.

Abstract You can delete existing roles, but the roles that are assigned to
administrators cannot be deleted.
Steps 1. Select Manage Operator > Manage Role. The role manage-
ment page is displayed.
2. Enter a full or partial role name in the Name text box and click
Search. All the roles that meet the condition are displayed.
If you do not enter a role name, all the roles are displayed by
default.
3. Click .
4. Click OK on the pop-up dialog box.

Abstract You can add administrators and assign roles to these administra-
tors. Thus, these administrators can use certain functions of the
administrator Web portal depending on their rights.
Steps 1. Select Manage Operator > Manage Operator. The admin-
istrator management page is displayed, as shown in Figure 5.

Postrequisite You can click the icon to modify operator information. You can-
not modify the Account ID parameter.
Abstract If you are the super administrator, you can delete all other admin-
istrators. If you are a general administrator, you can delete only
the administrators added by you.

Abstract You can set search conditions to retrieve the desired operation logs
from all the operation logs.
Steps 1. Select Manage Operator > Manage Operator Log. The op-
eration log management page is displayed.
2. Set search conditions and click Search. All the operation logs
that meet the search conditions are displayed.
The operation time is mandatory.

Abstract You can export operation logs to an Excel file and save the file on
your local host.
Steps 1. Select Manage Operator > Manage Operator Log. The op-
eration log management page is displayed.

"D" or "d" is the command word to delete a subscriber.
"XYZ" indicates the account ID of the subscriber.
One or more whitespaces are allowed before the command
word.
The command word must be followed by an account ID.
The command word and account ID are mandatory.
¡ A batch command file can contain command lines to create,
modify, and delete accounts. Different types of command lines
are sequence insensitive.
2. Click Browse to select the command file that you want to sub-
mit.
3. Enter a description in the Description text box. It is optional.
4. If the command file contains the command to add a subscriber,
select YES in Set Default Profile to set default attribute val-
ues.

Abstract Different CoSs are defined to provide differentiated service for sub-
scribers.
You can modify a CoS, but the CoS code cannot be changed.

Abstract You can delete CoSs. A CoS in use cannot be deleted, and the
corresponding delete icon is greyed out.
Steps 1. Select Manage System > Manage CoS. The CoS manage-
ment page is displayed.
Abstract To connect one site from others for communication, you can con-
figure site parameters and an access code.
You can modify site information as needed.
Steps 1. Select Manage System > Configure Sites. The site man-
agement page is displayed, as shown in Figure 14.

Internal Access Enter the access code of the site that the
Code called number belongs to.

Abstract You can delete sites. The sites associated with areas cannot be
deleted.
Steps 1. Select Manage System > Configure Sites. The site man-
agement page is displayed.
Abstract You can add service areas. When you add an area, you must set
the site that the area belongs to.
You can modify the settings for areas. The area number cannot be
changed.
Prerequisites Before you begin, make sure:
¡ Sites are available.
Steps 1. Select Manage System > Set Area Info. The area manage-
ment page is displayed, as shown in Figure 16.

Abstract You can delete areas. The areas associated with number segments
cannot be deleted.

Abstract This function allows you to specify different number prefix for dif-
ferent areas. Thus, the system determines the area by the number
prefix and then creates the time and message contents of the MCN
service.
You cannot modify the number prefix of an area.
Steps 1. Select Manage System > PhoneNo Area Mapping. The
page as shown in Figure 18 is displayed.

Abstract You can delete barred numbers as needed. After you delete a
barred number, the number is not barred by the MCN system.

barred number management page is displayed.
2. In the Banned Number text box, enter the barred number
you want to delete and click Search. The number is displayed
in the list box.

Abstract This section describes how to add a language. When adding sub-
scribers, you must select from these languages to send notification
SMs.
You can click the icon to modify language, but you cannot mod-
ify the Language parameter.

management page is displayed, as shown in Figure 21.

that meet the search conditions are displayed.
4. Click Submit.

Abstract You can add terminal types to allow them to use the MCN service.
For example, WL stands for telephone, CMO stands for CDMA mo-
bile phones, and Walky stands for WLL terminals. When you add a
terminal type, you must configure a corresponding terminal type
code for the terminal type.
Steps 1. Select Manage System > Terminal Type. The terminal type
management page as shown in Figure 24 is displayed.

of Terminal Type text boxes.

Abstract You can delete a number or number segment from the caller black-
list.
Steps 1. Select Manage System > Caller Blacklist. The caller black-
list management page is displayed.
Abstract You can query the mapping relation between the SMSPro terminal
number and the tail of MCN number (last 2 digits). Before dis-
tributing a missed call notification, the MCN system must query
the mapping relation between the tail of number and the SMSPro
terminal number (terminal configured in zxin10.ini) to deter-
mine the destination SMSPro module number based on the called
number.
Steps 1. Select Manage System > Terminal No. Config to open the
page as shown in Figure 28.
2. Click the Add button to open the page as shown in Figure 30.

Abstract After adding a promotion plan, you must add a number segment
for the plan and specify its promotion type.
Steps 1. Select Manage System > Promotion Plan Config to open
the promotion plan configuration page.

Abstract You can delete a promotion plan. After a promotion plan is deleted,
its number segments are also deleted.

Abstract You can delete the promotion content. However, the promotion
content being used by users cannot be deleted.

the promotion content management page.
Abstract You can add a mapping relation between the redirection reason
and the release reason. After a call is connected to the MCN sys-
tem, the system releases the call according to the mapping relation
between the redirection reason and the release reason.
If required, you can modify the mapping relation between the redi-
rection reason and the release reason. However, MSC SPC, Redi-
rection Reason Code and Redirection Reason cannot be mod-
ified.
Steps 1. Select Manage System > Redirect Release Mapping. The
page as shown in Figure 35 is displayed.
2. Click the Add button to open the page as shown in Figure 36.

SIP Release Cause The UP10 MCN service maps the reason
Code into the SIP release cause code and enters
it in the SIB. The UP10 then sends it to
the SS through the SIP 48X message.

Abstract You can delete a mapping relation between the redirection reason
and the release reason.

open the redirection/release reason management page.

query appear in the list box.
