Designed as a general introduction, this training provides an

insight into pneumatic principles. It aims to familiarize
participants with main pneumatic components and explain
PN11 their functions.

The participant will be able to perform systematic maintenance

and troubleshoot pneumatic systems. Using the state-of-the-
Industrial Pneumatics art industrial components, a safe environment is created to
carry out the exercises and construct pneumatic applications.

This training includes a wide range of hands-on exercise, which

give participants the opportunity to put the theory into practice
and for learning-by-doing. Working from the diagrams they
have produce, participants apply the instructed knowledge by
building and testing the pneumatic circuits using real industrial
components.

• Fundamental of compressed air generation,
distributions and preparation
• Characteristics of pneumatic system
• Pneumatic Power Section Devices
• Construction and development pneumatic valves.
• Different valve actuation method
• Development basic pneumatic and electro
pneumatic control system
• Development and layout of simple controls:
• Basic electrical logic function
• Function and construction of electrical switching
devices.
• Application of proximity sensors
• Speed control circuit:
• Pressure dependent circuit.
• Timer and Counter application in pneumatics.
• Pneumatic and Electrical memory circuit
• ISO electrical and pneumatic symbols according to
ISO1219

Training outcomes
• Knows the basic principles of compressed air
generation, distributions and preparation.
• Understand the signal flow of electrical control
section and pneumatic power section.
• Acquire knowledges of the construction and function
of electrical and pneumatic components
• Able to read the symbolic representation of devices
and standards.
• Able to design, assemble, test and troubleshoot
basic pneumatic and electro pneumatic circuits.
