FIGURE NUMBER –The figure number identifies the


illustration and the part list defining a specific portion
of the aircraft coverage.

ITEM NUMBER - The item number corresponds to the the part in the
illustrations.
A dash (-)show that the item is not illustrated.

Part numbers are developed by Boeing for the following part categories and
purposes:
1.proprietary parts
“BCREF “ is used to identify a Boeing reference number.
2.Specification numbers for non-proprietary parts
Boeing Specification part numbers developed for aircraft are identified with the
prefix "S" in front of the first position
3.Boeing standard parts
“BAC” is used to identify all Boeing Standard part numbers.

part to another SUPPLIER CODE - The (5) digit code
which identifies the manufacturer of the
part.

FOR NHA SEE - The reference catalog location


indicates where the used on component or
assembly is defined.

For the six digits, the first three digits


represent the first airplane the part can
be installed on and the last three digits
represent the final airplane.
To determine airplane coverage, refer to
the Airplane Effectivity Cross-Reference
Section in the IPC.

The specific digit - The quantity of the part which is used on the NHA
assembly
UNITS PER "RF" (Reference) - Indicates the item is listed at the NHA location
ASSEMBLY (UPA) which carries the UPA quantity.

"AR" (As Required) - Indicates the part is used in a quantity


determined at the time when the part is installed.

2. Note chapter, section, unit, figure and item number.
3. Turn to chapter and figure.
4. Locate the parts on the illustration.
5. Get more information by the item number in the detailed
parts list.
6. Confirm information effectivity.

3. Figures are in alphabetical order by a main noun.
4. Find the title of the figure where the part shows.
5. Note Chapter, section, unit, figure number.
6. Turn to chapter and figure.
7. Locate the parts on the illustration. Note item number.
8. Get more information by the item number in the detailed
parts list.
9. Confirm information effectivity.
