DO’S
1. All the systems in the Laboratory should be handled with care.
2. Use of mobile phones is restricted in the Laboratory.
3. If any important data needs to be accessed or copied, take the help of an in-charge faculty or laboratory
assistant.
4. All the users should save their files in their allotted directories only.
5. Bags and other items should be kept at the allocated place.
6. Shutdown the system before leaving the Laboratory.
7. Silence and discipline must be observed in the Laboratory
DON’Ts
1. Do not change the settings of the system.
2. Contact the Laboratory assistant for any clarification
3. CD’s, Pen drives & other storage devices are not allowed in the Laboratory.
4. Antivirus checks are must if any inserting pen drives in the system.
5. Do not leave the system open after completing the drawing

Course Objectives:
1. Design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within realistic constraints such as
economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability, and
sustainability

3. Understand the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineeringpractice.

1. Demonstrate the significance & Principles of Engineering Graphics related drawing Instruments
and Software AutoCAD
2. Explain the Procedure of constructing Conic Sections, Cycloids and Involutes using both
AutoCAD & Drawing Instruments
3. Explain the Basic Terminology related to Engineering Drawing and Commands of AutoCAD
software
4. Demonstrate the Projection of Points, Planes and Solids
5. Apply and Make use of Knowledge regarding Sectional Views for Development & Intersection
of Solid Surfaces
6. Develop the Isometric Projections of Planes, Solids& Plans.

3 Conic Sections – II
Construction of ellipse (given major and minor axis), parabola (given base and height), rectangular
hyperbola.
4 Cycloids (cycloid & epicycloid)
