JOB OBJECTIVES
To lead the effort in coordinating, scheduling, and managing the MEP trades and their associated subcontractors.
To work with the project team to ensure successful completion of all MEP trade work. The MEP Coordinator
reports directly to the Director of MEP Construction.

EXPERIENCE
o MEP Coordinator ( Landspace & Maintenance ) - Al Naboodah Group ( 2020 April – Present ) .

Projects Handled :-

- Operation & Maintenance of Oasis and Aflaj Al Ain City Muncipality – Al Ain .

Duties and Responsibilities as a Project Engineer :-

• Monitor drawing / material / work conformances with provisions as per specification.

• Check the activities on site and provide the necessary reminders to the Project Director,
Construction Manager and the Planning Engineer for any immediate action.
• Supervise the production of co-ordination drawings to ensure that all services are
coordinated with each other and the building structure is complying with the contract
requirements.
• Ensure all builders works drawings are comprehensive and discussed with the various
engineers for the best implementation and installation of services in coordination with other
parties and main contractor.
• Provide reminders, in advance, to the Project Director for any anticipated conflict that may
happen in the future with respect to the simultaneous activities of all MEP trades and main
contractors.
• Follow up the status of material and shop drawings and keep all parties informed of the
status and follow up the implementation of the Clients comments in timely manner.
• Distribute detailed information, documents and regulations as applicable to all concerned
parties and ensure their acknowledgement and adherence to its contents.
• Coordinate with main contractors, sub-contractors, MEP coordinator, Engineers and
Construction Manager to obtain clearance before starting the work to ensure smooth and
efficient execution of work.
• Provide Technical support and solve all Site technical issues to ensure completion of
Projects within the stipulated time.
• At project close out co-ordinate the production of as built drawings to ensure they are
delivered as per the contract requirements in terms of quality and time.

Duties and Responsibilities as a Project Engineer :-

• To study all technical drawings, documents and any revisions thereon .

• Raise technical query for any conflict information within the project technical document .
• To assist of preparing comparison report between tender documents and IFC
documents in terms of materials quantities, specification and scope of work to
commercial department to claim any variations in project objectives .
• Advise on construction methodologies in coordination with other
disciplines/contractors/ subcontractors prior to construction .
• To supervise the construction in terms of proper method, material reservation and
optimu output of labor.
• To give full and extensive instruction to his team .
• To execute the works according to the latest approved revision of drawings and /or
instruction of authorized authorities .
• Follow up of progress planning and arranging all its requirements .
• Monitoring of Subcontractor’s performance .
• To pass all instructions issued to him by the authorized representatives to his manager
to handle contractually prior to commencement. However, in some cases he should act
immediately and then report .
• To ensure that the construction team are working to approved to the latest and
approved construction issue drawings .
• To ensure that the construction issue drawings fully reflect the scope of works and
requirements of the contract .
• To review the technical submittal of materials and ensure its compliance with project .
• To ensure that any variations and instructions received from the client are incorporated
into the latest construction issue drawings and auctioned by the construction team .
• To ensure that the quantity surveyor is aware of any such changes (reference above) .
• To ensure the Operations & Maintenance manuals as well as handover documents are
in line with contract specification and requirements .
• Reporting to management.
• Materials take off from contract drawings .
• Materials requisition .
• Knowledge of local authority rules and regulations .
• Committed to DSI HSE requirements and all applicable legislations and contractual
requirements affecting the HSE activities at project site and administrative offices .
