impact of anemia occurs in many pregnant women. Anemia is also one of the indirect causes of
death of pregnant women, therefore anemic pregnant women can have an impact on LBW.
Besides the condition of anemia in pregnant women also interfere with nutrition in the fetus,
premature birth, fetal death, and cause bleeding in labor. The purpose of this study was to
determine the effect of tempe consumption on increasing hemoglobin levels in anemic
pregnant women at the Karta Raharja health center. This research is a source of information
and input for pregnant women to better understand the dangers of anemia.
Pregnancy is a condition where the fetus is conceived in the mother's body, which
begins with the process of fertilization. The main causes of maternal death are postpartum
hemorrhage and placenta previa, all of which stem from deficiency anemia. Tempe contains
various nutrients needed by the body such as protein, fat, carbohydrates, and minerals. Several
studies have shown that the nutrients of tempe are more easily digested, absorbed, and utilized
by the body.
This research uses quasi-experimental or quasi-experimental methods. in this study
were all pregnant women, a sample of 36 pregnant women. The sampling method of this study
uses non-probability with a purposive sampling technique. This research was conducted for 15
days.
