Text: E. Kreyszig “Advanced Engineering Mathematics”, 10th ed., Wiley; older editions are ok
Additional study materials will be circulated by the instructors as and when required.

Course Content: The course is broadly divided in four modules- Linear Algebra, Vector and Tensor,
Ordinary Differential Equations and Numerical methods. Detail syllabus is uploaded as a separate

Grading policy: Following grading policy is tentative and will be finalized in next couple of weeks.

Course Delivery: The course will be offered online on MooKIT platform. Weekly lecture video
and associated notes will be uploaded on every Thursday. You can see and download the study
materials as per your convenience. You, however, must go through the lecture videos and
materials thoroughly before the next discussion session.

Discussion Sessions: The discussion hours will be conducted on every Thursday 08:00-
08:50hrs. The discussion session will be conducted live where you will be able interact with the
rest of the class and the instructor. Web-links for discussion sessions will be sent to you in a
separate e-mail. Attending the discussion sessions are mandatory and will be useful for
meaningful learning. If due to any reason, you miss the discussion sessions, feel free to contact
the instructor.
Homework Policy: Homework will not be graded. You need not submit homework. Solutions for
homework will be uploaded on Mookit.

Make-up Policy: Only one makeup quiz will be allowed, makeup quiz will be conducted on last day of
class. Endsem makeup will be conducted as per the DOAA schedule. For end semester makeup you must
apply to DOAA. Makeup quiz/endsem syllabus will include everything covered in the course.

Attendance Policy: Attendance record will be checked periodically through the MooKIIT platform;
students below 80% attendance may be recommended for course deregistration.

Honesty and integrity: Any act of dishonesty including cheating/copying/proxy/plagiarism will be


reported to Dean of Academic Affairs for necessary action. The students involved in such activities will
receive ‘F’ grade.
