Ah, if I were to be king! I live a normal life with my parents and my siblings. I would
imagine the life of a king to be as glory as it could be. However, I have to remember that a
life of a king is not simply like that. I have never really dreamt seriously about being a king.
Maybe that is because I am used to listening to other people’s orders instead of them listening
to mine.
If I were king, I would like to be a wise king who applies the principles of justice and
kindness to make my subjects happier, peaceful, prosperous, comfortable, and better human
beings. I would guide them to show what should be done and what should not.
I will treat my kingdom fair and also be a sincere king to them. I will train the policemen to
be skilled in self-defence to ensure the safety of my kingdom. I would also have a powerful
I would have schools opened all over the kingdom where free education should be provided
to all the children in my kingdom. The schools would be teaching world class education and
skills to the children. The education should also not be pushed too hard on them, because
I must make sure that there will be no poor in my kingdom; if there were any, I would
provide him the basic facilities to set up a business or vocation and make sure that he is doing
well in life. Animals must not suffer in pain by hunters who are hunting just for fun. Nature
should also be taken care of. People must not chop down trees or litter everywhere.
As for healthcare treatment and medicine, I would suggest that it does not need any payment
especially for those who are suffering really badly. I shall accept all races to live in my
1
kingdom and try to make peace with my neighbouring kingdoms. I would also try to avoid
war happening in my kingdom because wars lead to disasters such as loss of lives.
In a nutshell, as a king I would have to understand that with great power, there comes great
responsibility. I might not ever be king, but at least if I become a leader, I can incorporate
similar values.
