IF I WERE KING…

Loyalty and truth preserve the king, and he upholds his throne by righteousness. If I were a
king I would follow the wise principles of wisdom to make my subjects happier, comfortable,
prosperous, and better human beings. I would always endeavour to start new welfare projects
for my people.

Unlike the kings of the past who remained engrossed in sensual and carnal pleasures of the
flesh, I would choose to live a righteous life dedicating my life to the cause of all types of
prosperity to my people. All my ministers, officials, and bureaucrats would be bounden to
serving my people sincerely.

I would have many schools opened where free education would be provided to all the
children in my kingdom. The schools would be ideal centers of imparting world-class
education and skills to the children who after being educated and skilled strive to make the
kingdom advanced in all spheres.

There would be no poor in my kingdom; if there were any, I would provide him the basic
facilities to set up a business or vocation and help him in doing well in life. Trees and animals
would be treated as important life- beings. And anyone who offended their sanctity, would be
tried against and punished.
I would have a very potent army to defend my kingdom from foreign aggression.
