Network administrator:
A network administrator is an IT expert who manages
an organization's network. A network administrator is responsible for installing,
maintaining and upgrading any software or hardware required to efficiently run a
computer network.A network administrator is the person designated in an
organization whose responsibility includes maintaining computer infrastructures with
emphasis on local area networks up to wide area networks.A network administrator is
responsible for keeping a company’s computer network running seamlessly and
up-to-the-minute. Every organization that uses more than one computer or software
platform needs a network administrator to coordinate and connect all the different
systems.
These responsibilities may seem somewhat similar and will sometimes overlap with
those of a systems administrator, but their roles do differ more, the larger the
organization gets. In any case, the job duties of a network administrator will vary
considerably depending on the size and needs of the organization. While some may
take on broader roles, others may be filling more specialized duties.
My profession:
After the degree I want to enter in networking field.Because the
scope of networking is increasing day by day and I also have a knowledge about
networking.In our degree (BSIT) have two networking courses.So that reason my
interest develop in this field.Network administrators are a key part of the IT
workforce. They are essentially responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of a company's
network and computer system. They fix problems that pop up in daily usage as well as
work on long-term projects, such as data backup or managing telecommunications
networks
JOB Description:
There are many jobs are networking we can do after the
graduation.These are depend on our experience our education etc.
Every organization need a person who can handle there network.It does not matter
this organization is work on low level or high level but they need network expert.If
the organization is high level these are need more IT experts or person to secure these
network similarly if the organization is low level then they need one or two person to
handle the networks.Network administrators are responsible for maintaining computer
networks and solving any problems that may occur with them. Typical responsibilities
of the job include: installing and configuring computer networks and systems.
identifying and solving any problems that arise with computer networks and systems.
Related To IT:
You need at least a bachelor's degree to be considered for this
position. With certificates in computer science, software engineering, and associated
fields, you can gain an entry-level position in network administration.Network

Salary:

Depends on organization and also depends on our experience.


This is starting from 30,000k to 4 or 5 lac in our country.But if be talk about other
countries some countries are pay more then 6 lac.Salary is depended on organization.
According to a recent report from the National Association of Colleges and
Employers, the average starting salary for the college Class of 2020 was $55,260 —
2.5% higher than that of the Class of 2019 ($53,889 ) and 8.5% higher than the Class
of '18 ($50,944).

Job duration:

Job duration is 8 hours and in some organization 12 hours but mostly network
administrator work 6 to 8 hours per day.

Becoming a network administrator will require a fair degree of technical competence.


Nevertheless, there are certain so-called soft skills that are in high demand,
particularly for those looking to work in this profession. These nontechnical abilities
will definitely come in handy to all network administrators.

Critical Thinking – Network admins will need to explore and solve various problems
logically and consistently. Even if you don’t know the solution right away, the ability
to analyze the situation and think critically will go a long way in figuring out a
solution.

Time Management – Network admins will have to juggle several projects at the
same time, dealing with people and solving various problems. This automatically
means that they should be able to keep themselves organized and make sure that
everything is balanced.

Communication Skills – Good interpersonal skills are of utmost importance for


network admins. Since they work with a broad range of people, from network
engineers to end-users, being able to bridge the gaps between these groups of people
will go a long way.

Always Look To Learn and Evolve – The IT field is notorious for its quick
development and change. Network admins can’t afford to not stay on top of the latest
trends and demands if they wish not to become obsolete.

There are thousands jobs are network administrator are come in every year.So every
one can check the requirements and criteria of job and if this is applicable for this job
then they can apply on it.Administrative systems refer to systems and processes for
filing and record keeping, office correspondence, visitor and phone call management,
internal communication, financial management and other administrative duties.
Educational trends:
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), many
employers prefer or require network administrators to have a bachelor's degree, but
some individuals may find jobs with only an associate's degree or certificate,
especially when paired with related work experience.There are two types are
organization some organizations requirements are only they need network
administrator if they can have a certification of networking.But some are need degree
of computer science or software engineer and also require huge experience of
networking.But if we talk about the trend this is compulsory that we have complete
the certification of networking or we have huge of experience in networking.
While a sysadmin isn't a software engineer, you can't get into the career intending to
never write code. At a minimum, being a sysadmin has always involved writing small
scripts, but the demand for interacting with cloud-control APIs, testing with
continuous integration, etc
Responsibilities of network administrator:
Network administrator are
responsible for managing, troubleshooting, licensing, and updating hardware and
software assets. You will ensure that appropriate measures are proactively followed in
response to unforeseen issues such as IT downtime or zero-day exploits.A Network
Administrator's main responsibilities include installing, configuring, and supporting
an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), internet
systems, and/or a segment of a network system. Daily job duties may depend on the
size of a company's network.
My Expectation:
As my expectation according to the job to manage the network of
an organization.And in which I am responsible for data its means secure data and also
solve the problem of employees which is related to the networking.The system
administrator seeks to ensure that the uptime, performance, resources, and security of
the computers they manage meet the needs of the users, without exceeding a set
budget when doing so.To handle the network issue and also solve the networking
problems.I provide the security assurance
To organization and manage network properly.
