BSESS23: TRENDS AND ISSUES IN SOCIAL STUDIES

POPULATION EDUCATION
an educational process,
which helps
individual to learn about population and
particularly the effect of population
dynamic and the related problem on the
individuals, family, community, nation and
the world.

Population and Education

Countries in which women are better educated
typically have smaller families and lower rates of
population growth. The education of females does
not affect fertility until an average of four or five
years of schooling is provided to most girls.

Population and health

Rapid population growth and density is
correlated with infections. The relationship
between health and fertility is complex,
since in the absence of family planning,
improved health decreases mortality and
morbidity, and increase fertile life span.

3
Population and housing
The relationship between population and
housing is two-sided. On the one hand,
population change leads to a changing
demand for housing. At the same time, the
supply of housing influences the opportunities
for population increase through migration.

Population and Job
opportunities
According to Fred Bergman, Even in the simplest
example, if you have a higher population, you
need more infrastructure, and if you have to
build more infrastructure, whether it's highways,
schools, hospitals, you need people to do that,
so that's going to increase your labour demand

5
Population and food security
Increasing numbers of people often drive up
demand for food, which typically results in
additional use of arable land and water. This is
especially true in the absence of adequate food
production technology and integrated programs
