POLICY FOR WORKING HOURS ON SITE AND SERVICE

POLICY STATEMENT

Clean Marine (CM) has a work hour policy for those working for the company on site
and service.

The purpose of this policy is to:

• Ensure at all times the safety of CM employees and the safe operation of the
vessels and sites that they are engaged on;

• Contribute to fair treatment of personnel in line with industry best practice

WHO IS COVERED BY THE POLICY?

The policy is intended for Travelling Superintendents, Project Managers and Site
Managers at/on board sites/vessels in connection with facilitating, installing and
commissioning, surveying and inspecting of EGCS systems onboard ocean going
vessels.

WHAT IS WORKING HOURS?

CM defines working hours as hours at CM’s disposal.

GENERAL WORKING HOURS WHILE IN SERVICE

The personnel’s daily working hours as per their contractual agreement during
service is 8 hours, and such additional hours as may be reasonably required by CM.

A resting day is granted within the working week to be taken upon the employees
own discretion.

In order to ensure the safety of CM employees the maximum hours of work while on
site or in service shall not exceed;

• 14 hours per 24 hours (per day)


• 72 hours per 7 days

If operational requirements require working hours that exceed the above, the
employee must make necessary arrangements with their support staff or their
immediate supervisor to ensure compliance with this policy.
ORGANISATION OF WORK

Superintendents, Project Managers and Site Managers must organize their work in
such a way that they:

• can always maintain their own personal safety and the safety of the
site/vessel.

• are not exploited to harmful physical or psychological strain.

• follow shipyard’s (while on site), or onboard (while on board a vessel) Safety


Code policies and procedures, whereas the work hour policy for site and
service have precedence.
