Installations

A. (Room 1)
This is a glass, spherical structure suspended by wire. While there will be added details like
reflective string wrapped around and possibly small objects hanging off of it, the initial sphere is
just under a pound and has a 20 in. circumference. The glass is clear and the string is multi-
colored. Because the final product won’t weigh more than five pounds, I would hope the wire it’s
attached to could hang from the material already in the ceiling at the space. Once I have one of
these completely made, I may make a few more.

B. (Room 1)
This is a large arc, scattered with little cubes that would stand up by itself. My mentor and I are
still working out the materials for this. I would like it to be very large, but any size will do once I
find materials that work. More information to come on this!

C. (Room 1)
This is a wire-based structure designed to resemble a plant. The base and stems of the leaves
would ideally be wire or a similar material, and the leaves would likely be some type of fabric.
This fabric would also be used at the bottom of the structure.

D. (Room 1)
These are the windows that take up one wall of the first room. I remember discussing ways to
block them off so no natural light comes through, and you mentioned blocking them with color. I
would definitely like to do that since it would complement the room well. I’d like to use
variations of red, orange, yellow, and pink. I am happy to communicate more on this!

E. (Room 2)
These are small, translucent colored glass panels. They will be placed throughout the second
room with flashlights behind them so that there are many light beams shining in different
directions. Depending on what the space allows, I would like to mount a few of them to the walls
of to the column that is in that room. If that’s not possible, it’s totally fine — I can situate them
on the floor at the edges of the room.

F. (Room 2)
This is an ellipse that will lean against the corner in the second room. I’d like it to be around four
feet fall and lime green. My mentor and I are currently figuring out materials for this. If nothing
works out, I plan on scrapping the installation since the light beams will create a cool effect.

G. (Room 3)
This is an eight foot tall cylinder wrapped in a tulle strip that curls out at the end. The cylinder is
two four foot concrete forms on top of each other, which I’ll paint. If this works out well, I may
consider creating another that is just one four foot cylinder (so it’s half the size).
H. (Room 3)
I’m super excited for this installation — it’s the first one I designed! It’s five plexiglass panels
secured together to resemble a lightning bolt. My hope is to suspend it from the materials already
in the ceiling in the corner of the room. Once I have the panels cut, I will send you the weight
and hopefully it works out. If not, I will figure something out!

I. and J. (Room 3)
These are two identical installations. They will be five long rectangular pieces asymmetrically
stacked on top of each other. They will be painted a royal blue and sit on the ground in two
different spots in the room.
