Procedure
 Record the moisture and lid number.Determine and record the mass of an empty,clean,and dry
moisture can.
 Place the moist soil in the moisture can.Determine and record the mass of moisture can (now
containing the moist soil)
 Place the moisture can inside the drying oven at constant temperature.Leave it in the oven for
overnight.
 Remove the moisture can and let it cool down to room temperature.Then determine and record
the mass of the moisture can(containing the dry soil)
 Empty the moisture can and clean the can.

Discussion

It takes time before the experiment is done to get the moisture content of the sample.Even though
the soil soil chunks were from the same soil,it shows different results given that it has different
mass.The results are obtained by using the formula for getting the soil moisture content.The soil
sample are weight from time to time to determined if it is dried already.The mass of of each container
were obtain by weighing them individually.all of the soil have different moisture content which is
7%,10%,13%,16%,19%,21% and the weight of the can before are
20.572g,13.870g,14.167g,13.250g,13.047g,13.242g respectively.
