Needs Assessment

Bliss Wedding Events is a company seeking to cater to all parts of a wedding event. The

following are the tasks that the company needs to cater to to be effective in its mandate.

 Sourcing clients: Wedding planning is a competitive industry, and marketing and

advertising ensure that the company has a competitive edge.

 Partnering with Vendors: Planning successful wedding events hinges on the right

partnerships. Wedding events require goods and services sourced from vendors who

specialize in different areas of wedding planning. Identifying and partnering with the

right vendors is therefore essential in ensuring continuing success.

Sourcing clients and partnering with vendors are concepts that require specialized skills to

effectuate. It is essential, therefore, that Bliss Wedding Events put the training program in place.

Training Need/Method

Employee proficiency is dependent on how well they undergo training. Training is

essential in ensuring that employees' skills are honed and ready to dispense whenever there are

projects at hand. Another importance of training employees is ensuring that employees get new

skills. The wedding industry is constantly changing and evolving to suit consumer needs.

Training employees ensure that they are adept in handling consumer needs.

There are numerous ways of training employees. One of the most effective is holding

regular seminars. Bliss Wedding Events must hire professionals with expertise in various fields

that employees showing gaps. The experts can impart knowledge on employees and conduct

assessments on whether the employees have understood the instruction.


Training Budget/ Future

The training budget is subjective and dependent on a variety of factors. For example,

various experts may charge different fees to educate their employees. Another factor impacting

the budget are the educational materials used in the training. Training and educational materials

are likely to change depending on the instructor and the topic. The duration of the training

program will also determine the budget. The longer the training program, the higher the

budgetary allocation should be (HR-Guide, 2019). Finally, the budget allocated to the training

will be impacted by the venue the training will be conducted. For example, the training cost will

be considerably cheaper if conducted on the company's premises than if it is conducted off-site.

Employee Development/Talent Management

All training programs are intended to improve the quality of employees. To determine the

effectiveness of the training program, employees of Bliss Wedding Events should be

professionally assessed to decide whether or not they have conceptualized the new skills. Setting

employee development can be a multi-pronged approach whereby improvement is measured

before and after the training program (HR-Guide, 2019). For example, suppose Bliss Wedding

Events has improved financial performance or serves more clients after the training program than

before. In that case, the training program must be considered to have contributed to employee

development.

On-Boarding/ Orientation

On-boarding is a one-time event whereby employees are welcomed into the company.

The orientation process is essential to ensuring that new employees complement processes in the

company, rather than compromise work-flow due to lack of familiarity. The orientation process
must be conducted by a professional who is aware of the company’s history, mission, vision, and

values. Aside from verbal communication during the orientation process, it is essential to

summarize the most important details that new employees must be aware of noted down and

distributed to the new employees. This exercise will ensure that employees that do not grasp all

the necessary details in the orientation have reference materials as long as they need them.
